Sadiq Khan. Can anyone tell me something positive about what he has done?

So the past few days I've unfortunately gone down a bit of a rabbit hole of clips about the Mayor of London.

From what I have seen the man is an utter buffoon who has done nothing to improve London, in fact quite the opposite.

Strikes increasing. Homelessness increasing. Crime - off the charts. Congestion zone charges etc.

And don't get me started on the deputy who seems to be from another planet!

I am not from London, so just wondering if anyone at all has anything positive at all to say about this catastrophe of man!

The BMA head office is in London. So is the universities and colleges union. And the civil service union. And the doctors union.

Arenyou really so stupid to think that because a union has its HO in the capital that thr mayor is responsible for all their disputes?

Don't know why you've listed the congestion charge as a bad thing, especially given 50% of london households don't own a car

I used to live and work in a London borough and was never a fan of him. But there are things that he’s has done well as people have mentioned above. Overall he’s done a good job the only thing I found grating was how he implemented the extension of the ulez - it wasn’t sufficiently thought out.

As someone who drives in London daily I’m not a fan of some of his transport ideas and I’ve seen/heard him come across as easily irritated when asked a question he doesn’t like but I can see some of his ideas work but mostly nonplussed by him

If he is so hated why has he been voted in three times?

London has become an absolute hellhole under his watch.

I’m a Londoner. I think he’s been a terrible mayor but the alternatives weren’t any better. I don’t know anyone who thinks he’s doing a good job.

Renter protection and avenues to pursue rogue landlords

I assume you mean Outer London? I live in a South London borough about a mile from Surrey and there are loads of buses and trains.

Any mayor is not going to be universally popular with everyone all the time. But the vibes from some of the social media posts and videos are way over the top in the way they present the situation in London and the performance of the mayor.

Sadiq has been elected for mayor three consecutive terms. So clearly doing something right (ULEZ, free school meals, bus hopper etc).
