To be utterly disgusted by the woman cutting down yellow ribbons commemorating the October 7th victims in Muswell Hill yesterday morning

When Jewish people are being attacked and murdered on their way to synagogue on Yom Kippur

When you literally can’t move or look in any direction without Palestine Palestine Palestine in our faces

On the eve of the anniversary of the worst atrocity committed against Jewish people since the Holocaust, a small, unobtrusive memorial for the victims of that unthinkable, barbaric attack was destroyed yesterday by a despicable woman who turned up with scissors and cut the ribbons down, one by one.

Ribbons for women and girls who were raped and murdered.
Ribbons for babies ripped from their parents’ arms and slaughtered.
Ribbons for men beaten to death.
Ribbons for the hostages still suffering every moment.

And this disgusting individual took it upon herself to come along with a pair of scissors and cut each one away. Her excuse? They “condone genocide”.

Let’s not pretend for a moment that that was her true motivation. It was a revolting demonstration of the antisemitism that has become so shamefully rife in this country that it sickens me.

This woman needs to be named and shamed for the loathsome person she is.

Apparently a peace deal is in the works which would be fantastic but will likely be overshadowed by Donald Trump taking credit for absolutely everything.

As he should actually. I hate him and I hate Netanyahu too. But let's face it, there is no president who would have put Netanyahu in his place the way Trump did. Because he IS nuts and would be perfectly happy to do crazy shit that no other President would do.

Not according to Talmudic tradition and archaeology.

The Al-Aqsa mosque is built on top of the ruins of the Royal Stoa. During the 2nd Temple time, there was the temple and the palace of the Kings of Judea on Temple Mont. The Royal Stoa was a secular building built by King Herod and served as offices for court officials.

The 2nd temple, palace and all other structures were destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD after the siege of Jerusalem by Titus in the wake of the First Jewish Revolt.

Al-Aqsa mosque started as a small prayer house in 685 AD on what were then 600+ yr old ruins. It wasn’t built on top of the temple sites.

It was taken by Crusaders in 1099 who converted it to a palace until 1187 when Saladin reconquered the region.

If peace & coexistence is desired, a 3rd temple could be built where the 2nd temple was without touching a single piece of Al Aqsa mosque.

Oh, pray tell, so where exactly was the second temple, if not on the temple mount?

I've been many times to Jerusalem and the Old City - where are you claiming (very bizarrely) the second temple was locatrd and where you are suggesting that the third temple could easily be built (but isn't because Jews are intransigent like that)

Please also do enlighten me as to these talmudic tracts which exactly locate the second temple in Jerusalem?

When someone establishes one of these "shrines" after a death/accident/incident along with flowers, balloons, toys etc I do find it rather mawkish and tasteless. Personally I think it makes the place look messy. However they clearly bring comfort to some people and are not illegal (although eventually the local authority clears them away). People have mixed feelings about these tributes and I can see how someone would get angry at cutting off the ribbons.

Temples and mosques such as Al-Aqsa Mosque that the Israelis wanted sovereignty over in major peace deals. Many of which were the reason that the peace deals fell apart anyway. Not just do with Jerusalem within alone. And Jews going through that meant they the Israeli government had the right to do the same to Palestinians?

What temples and mosques did Israel want sovereignty over? WTF are you even talking about? What temples are there in Jerusalem? And which mosques, as apparently there are many of them? <this is just insane and shows the total misinformation of some very opinionated posters>

Question: Who has adminstrative control NOW over the Temple Mount?
Answer: The Jordanian Waqf
Why does nasty Israel allow the Jordanian Waqf to control the Temple Mount?

Question: Did Jordan allow any Jews to worship at the Western Wall prior to 1967?
Answer: No
Why did Jordan now allow any Jews to pray at their holiest sites?

I take it you also frequently lecture Greeks on how they should be praying towards Olympus?

Not sure what point you're trying to make but you're coming across as utterly ridiculous.

Edited

I think she’s suggesting everyone in the region should leave it to the Zoroastrianists?

I have no idea what her point is but I learned something new today so that’s nice.

That seems reasonable 🤪

I feel like some people just try way to hard to deny any Jewish link to the land. They seem to think we built two ancient temples underneath a mosque 😂

I think you're being very unfair, it's completely reasonable to conclude that if we can build a Jewish space laser then developing a Zionist time travel machine in order to establish historical precedent and precedence in our holiest site is a piece of cake.

I assume the piece of cake is Kosher certified?

I would apologise for derailing the OP but pretty sure that ship sailed several pages ago

I think if they'd named it Jewland, people would find it less confusing.

sabababa · 09/10/2025 17:44

Or come full circle and call it Judea?

Did you see the journalist Miranda Levy talking about being told to go back to ‘Jew land’, by someone who didn’t think Israel had a right to exist? 🤨

The insta post from my hideous march this week was filled with posters telling Jews to ‘go back home’ to… Europe. Cause who could fathom why they ever left in the 30s and 40s. And also not all Jews are European. And I am actually from the Russian ghetto and they never thought my ancestors were even Russian. And also and also and also. Started responding and then got too angry and then too confused and just closed my laptop down and had a drink.

I'm sorry you have to endure this. They're furious because they wanted the carnage in Gaza to go on forever so they could exploit it to demonise Israel and eventually destroy it completely. Now that there's a very realistic chance it might end, they've got nothing to hide their antisemitism behind, and of course they really don't want to admit Hamas lost.

It was always a shit mask and now it's hanging by a thread, more and more people are seeing them for what they are.

sabababa · 09/10/2025 20:33

It's funny isn't it? Throughout European history, including up until quite recently and even today among some groups, Jews were persecuted for not being white. But now apparently Jews are too white and apparently all originate from Europe too and zionism is a white supremacist movement.

Yeah, my Iraqi in-laws are quite confused by it! All of a sudden, for the first time in their lives, they're white 😂 Not white enough to avoid racism in the UK, but white enough that these former Arab asylum seekers are now considered white supremacists. So that's fun!

I’m sorry, this is awful.

Aggression paired with stupidity.

Lucky that jews didn't give a shiny shit if you thought Israel should be created. No one handed the Jewish people Israel on a silver platter, THEY had to create a functioning state and fight for it. The Palestinian Zionists declared a state when the Brits left, the Palestinians Arabs didn't declare any state because they didn't want one then.

Anyway, if its ok for the ultimate religious ethnostate Pakistan to have been created then definitely ok that theres an israel as far more justification.

Anyway, perhaps if you guys hadnt slaughtered, rapid, displaced, murdered and perecuted so many Jews over the years then maybe there wouldn't have been such an acute need for a Jewish homeland? Ever thought of that?

The only reason Israle is 'worse' is because Israel won. The brutality in the Lebanese and Syrian civil wars is a little glimpse into the future of Israel if it isnt strong enough to defend itself.

You have reduced an historical trauma post World War Two to incorrect soundbites. Genuinely where on earth did you read this? It is factually incorrect.

  1. Jewish people have always lived in the Middle East for centuries certainly. Historical fact.

  2. The Jewish people didn’t ‘choose’ Israel. They were placed there by the US, UK and others after the war, because it was not a state.
It seemed at the time to be a good solution given the Jewish people could not be returned to Germany and other places, where they had been harmed, tortured and had family members killed.

  3. Israel have worked incredibly hard to build a secure and safe country for their people. Yes they have been terribly hurt, and therefore need compassion and kindness from their neighbours. Not hostility.

  4. The issue here is one of racism. Many of the Palestinians simply do not like Jews. A difference when it comes to religion. Racism. Their vendetta to create war and mass murder was crystallised by Hamas.

  5. Israel is not going anywhere, so what do you suggest? Millions and millions of people simply want to live a quiet and productive life. They have generational trauma but then so do most of us. Their trauma is particularly serious, and understood worldwide. They are allowed to live freely in safety. The people of Israel are allowed to recover from two world wars and give their children peace and security without being demonised.

Hamas has always rejected any kind of peace plan, but one is definitely needed now.

Please feel free to research this subject properly.

I actually hope your hideous post isn't deleted so people can see the mindset.

Now why do you think Jewish people "wanted a land". Hint: it wasn't "just because". Yes, someone killed "so many people". Six million of them.

To be honest I feel easier with these posts than the faux ‘I’m not antisemitic… but’ ones as at least this person is being honest. She is just hateful and ignorant and I feel sorry for her.

Others have corrected your false comments. Where on the internet or in person did you get so.much false information? Maybe try to actually look at factual history rather than hatefilled sources?

There's a lot of hate there showing in you and I hope someone helps you unpick it.
