Personally I do but I feel it’s fine

No. Biscuits barely ever, chocolate maybe once a month. But I'm not very fond of them to start with, so I also eat them as often as I fancy having them.

Cheese is my weakness.

Snap. Could happily live in a world without chocolate or biscuits which I rarely eat and never buy but could not survive in a cheeseless world

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 04/10/2025 21:59

No, hardly ever

EmeraldShamrock000 · 04/10/2025 22:01

Yes, every day.
1 bar or a packet of crisp.
It's food. 😋

DoodleLug · 04/10/2025 22:08

Yes, more than one.

I think it's very common now to have some form of dessert after meals - a yoghurt or fruit or biscuit /cake /chocolate.

I don't over indulge because I try not to eat too much crap. Unlikely I'd eat a whole mars bar or similar.

I know plenty of people who eat 2 or 3 bars a day plus crisps (observed at work). It's not healthy but it is 'normal'.

Yes everyday. And possibly (probably) a cake too.

Me too, always have , so it’s hard to break the habit

And cake is great right? Just looking at a recipe for Parkin 🙂

signiffig · 05/10/2025 05:33

No, I try not to have any sweet treats in the house so I have to leave the house if I want something and seeing it in the cupboard doesn’t encourage me to mindlessly eat it. Eating sugar makes me feel ill afterwards.

thisishowloween · 04/10/2025 20:20

Yep. And crisps. I'm a healthy weight, no deficiencies (had recent blood tests for PCOS), and do 20k steps a day on average.

@thisishowloween20k steps is impressive. Is this part of a commute or something else?

GustavMunchkin · 05/10/2025 06:52

Only if I could stop myself from eating the whole packet! I’m always in awe of pple who can keep biscuits etc in the house. They literally call out to me & don’t stop until they’re gone. Ho hum.

ACynicalDad · 05/10/2025 06:53

Not a chance, often a couple of weeks go by without touching either.

AhBiscuits · 05/10/2025 06:55

Not since the jabs.
I might have a biscuit when MIL offers when we visit, but I'm out of the habit of any kind of snacking on an average day.

secureyourbook · 05/10/2025 06:56

Yes but I try to stick to some pieces of dark chocolate so I’m not scoffing too much junk.

EatMoreChocolate44 · 05/10/2025 06:58

Yes I eat chocolate multiple times a day and usually a wee bag of crisps too. It's a bad habit. I'm not particularly overweight and I do exercise 3 times a wk but I know I need to cut down. If I was dieting I would eat one biscuit a day. To me that's healthy. 😂 But honestly life is hard enough. If you can't have a little chocolate a day then what's the point. We need a little joy in our lives. 😂 Maybe it's because I'm a primary school teacher. I need to reward myself at various points through our the day. 😂

Comedycook · 05/10/2025 06:59

I lost two stone a few years ago and during the weight loss phase I ate something sweet every day...I would buy the mini kinder bars or macarons or something small like that.

I'm now on wli so I do now have days where I don't eat anything sweet...but I often do.

It doesn't necessarily derail weight loss. A mini mars bar may well be less calories than a banana...yeah yeah I know a banana will keep you fuller and provide better nutrition but personally I'm the kind of person who can't cut an entire type of food out my diet. If I did I would actually end up binging on it and it would be worse

Comedycook · 05/10/2025 07:01

And I will never forget the post I once read on here where a woman said that she found fruit so sweet she could only bear to eat a single piece once every few months....

TwinklyNight · 05/10/2025 07:42

Not anymore, but my dh does.

PruthePrune · 05/10/2025 07:47

I used to have chocolate/biscuits/cake etc daily. I weighed just under 11 stone, am 8 stone 12 now since I've cut them out. To satisfy any sweet craving I have honey with yogurt and put it in my tea.

Dominey · 05/10/2025 07:49

Yes easily one a day if not more. I am not overweight and 80% of my diet is very healthy and nutritious so I have no plans to stop. I love baking and there’s nothing better than a salad for lunch which then leaves room for a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake. I also enjoy a glass of wine with certain meals - red with red meat, white with fish etc. I get such huge pleasure from food and drink and I am able to moderate easily.

FlyingUnicornWings · 05/10/2025 07:49

Current daily biccie is bourbon. Eat the top biscuit, lick the chocolate cream off, eat the bottom biscuit.

Lovely.

Twinmum345 · 05/10/2025 07:51

No absolutely not

Idstillratherbepaddleboarding · 05/10/2025 07:54

I used to eat a bag of chocolate or large chocolate bar every day instead of lunch but when I reached 9 stone, I cut almost all chocolate out and after a month, I stopped even thinking about it. For full disclosure I do have an eating disorder. My “sweet treat” is that my first coffee of the day is allowed to have sugar in it and yes I’m aware of how sad that is! I’m “allowed” to have 2 “bad” things a week but I often only have 1. This week it’s been a slice of toffee apple cheesecake that was really good, but I only ate it to appease DH.

I have sought support from the doctor but so far it’s been 4 weeks and I haven’t even got as far as the referral stage to the eating disorder clinic 🤷‍♀️.

Dancingsquirrels · 05/10/2025 07:57

Crisps, rarely

Chocolate bar, once in a blue moon eg when hillwalking

1 or 2 biscuits, or 2 squares dark chocolate, most days

But I exercise regularly, overall diet is healthy and not overweight

Yes it would be better to have no biscuits at all ever, but that would be a dull life

lljkk · 05/10/2025 07:58

Several times every day.
Am not fat, but my teeth could be better.

Superhansrantowindsor · 05/10/2025 08:01

I have a chocolate wafer biscuit or penguin every day. I am fat. I wish I had more willpower.

Whoevenarethey · 05/10/2025 08:02

Yes which is why I am heavier than I should be.
