NototerrorismIntheUK · 03/10/2025 15:15

The police and others have called out in the hope that there will be no pro Palestine marches tomorrow. They are stretched and say it will divert resources from trying to protect the Jewish people following the terrorist attack yesterday.

I agree. No march tomorrow AIBU?

There was one in Manchester. Staggering really.

What!?! This makes me feel sick. There is something very wrong with people!

Deerfolk · 03/10/2025 16:19

No we need to keep marching until Israel stops murdering children.

Why? What is that going to tangibly do about it?

Do you think the IDF will see it and think “shit, Susan from Kent is upset with us, better not proceed trying to prevent being wiped off the planet”

Because that is what Hamas, and others, want - for Jews to be wiped off the face of the earth.

What do you think the members of Hamas think when they see the marches via social media? I personally would hazard a guess that they laugh their tits off at how ridiculous it is.

Opposing genocide does not equal antisemitism.

You can oppose genocide, oppose the systemic killing of innocent people, including 20,000 children, and also oppose the murder of the innocent Manchester victims.

To equate being pro-Palestine with terrorism or antisemitism is dangerous and undermines the genocide that is taking place.

How can you sit there and scoff at people going to out to try and stop the killing of innocent children?

you’ve been co opted into a holy war. This is why other neighbouring Muslim countries are not taking in Palestinians. They want muslim palestinians there, even if they have to die there - so that they can have the land they believe was given to them by Allah.

The Quran teaches that Israel is the holy land. It says that Jews were there but lost their right to the land as they didn’t convert to Islam. Further dispelling anti semitic revisionist history that the Jews weren’t there before the Palestinians. Even the Quran confirms that they were.

That’s why Hamas don’t want a 2 state country, they don’t believe Jews should be in the land PERIOD. They’ve now co-opted bored Europeans to fight on their behalf, calling it a genocide whilst they use their own people as human shields

anotherside · 03/10/2025 16:31

The Israeli government drops bombs upon thousands of innocent Palestinian families, people shrug and say they had it coming. But people going out and waving flags and shouting slogans against Israel/the Israeli government? Oh how terrible and inhumane!

Whatthistime · 03/10/2025 16:32

Nn9011 · 03/10/2025 15:49

Bring Jewish and Zionist are not the same things and the majority of people on the marches recognize that. What happened was awful but a bus full of children are being intentionally killed everyday in Palestine and our government is involved too. Multiple people from the UK have been kidnapped in international waters and are being held in prisons in Israel as we speak.
River to the sea is not antisemitic, it reference the physical map of Palestine.
I'd encourage the majority of the people in these comments to actually step outside their bubbles and learn about what is actually happening in Palestine

Imagine being so ignorant, yet still telling others to educate themselves. What other country would you like to erase—Pakistan? Maybe Croatia? Even the UN, which has a questionable record regarding Israel, isn’t challenging the legality of the naval blockade of Gaza.
No one is kidnapped. If you want to be an activist, you have to be ready to take responsibility. They’re going to be deported. They’ll be back home. Real hostages were already killed, their bodies intentionally misplaced, or are being starved to death right now in Hamas captivity.
“From the river to the sea” is a call for conquest and genocide of Jews. Just be open about what you wish to happen. No need to hide behind allusions.
You should also check who is indigenous to this land and who descends from colonisers. Hint: Arabs were the colonising ones.
I must say, you’re in good company—this guy also thought exterminating Jews would solve the problem, and he used the UN to help make it possible.

What part of 'leave the Jewish peoples alone; leave Israel alone!' don't the flag waving, baying supporters of a terrorist supporting place like Palestine, understand? Just leave the Jewish people alone to live their lives in peace.

Don't attack them, don't try and take away their teeny tiny piece of this globe, don't rape their women and behead their children; just leave them to enjoy festivals and lives in peace ... and 'problem' solved! Easy, peasy, really.

If Hamas and their ilk can't live in peace, and their avowed intent is to eradicate every single Jewish person from this earth - and that's even before they start on the Christians and the remaining infidels - and they, sickeningly use innocent children and adults as their human shield in order to pander to the wokeness of the left (which they actually laugh at!!!) - and people actually support that - I wonder who will be squealing loudest when they come for you, because they surely will!

You could easily say the same and swap Palestinian for Jewish...

Just let the Palestinian people live their life in peace. Dont attack them, dont try to take away their tiny piece of the globe..

War crimes- genocide- starving of children and refusing to let aid through. Bombing hospitals- killing doctors...Netanyahu has expressed complete obliteration as his goal.
But thats OK I suppose because to say otherwise is anti-semetic...

The Palestinian people are no more to blame than the Jewish people.

Feelingleftoutagain · 03/10/2025 16:33

If you actually look at the protestors in Manchester, a lot of them attend quite a few of the rally, one man who has a pony tail is actually very aggressive, hitting people with his banners, there is one who looks like a Russian doll who attends several different protests too. When I pointed this out to my son, he said that some people get paid to attend rally, which makes me wonder who pays and why

EsmaCannonball · 03/10/2025 16:33

More of Faraj Al-Shamie's social media posts are coming out and it is clear where the son's indoctrination began. Why did he want to live in the UK and why was he allowed to? The authorities do nothing to stop dangerous people from settling here and raising their children to be a threat. It's like the west is determined to turn itself into one giant doormat.

Firealarm1414 · 03/10/2025 16:34

lazyarse123 · 03/10/2025 16:03

What is the point of protests? Our government can't make either side behave in the right way. It's virtue signalling in the worst way.
Our government should stop supplying arms to Israel but they won't and some folk shouting and waving flags won't change their mind.
The tragedy yesterday will just serve to make racism against Muslims and migrants even worse. It's all a very depressing shitshow. So many people hating each other.

British jews attacked by an Islamist terrorist in the their own place of worship and your first thought is "wont someone think of the muslims and migrants"? Maybe get a grip and spare a thought for the community who are actually under attack at increasing levels, with people literally taking to the streets to celebrate and even encourage these attacks (what do people think "globalise the intifada" actually means?) - that's the Jewish people in case you were confused.

So are you actually claiming that Israel hasn’t flattened Gaza with the equivalent of six Hiroshima bombs worth of firepower?

Is this video of Gaza fake? Because if it isn’t, it’s quite clearly evidence of a massive war crime.

Follow the money and somewhere you will find Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

HappyGolmore2 · 03/10/2025 15:19

We have the right to peaceful protest and freedom of speech, regardless of how you feel about the cause, so marches should go ahead.
Trying to use hate incidents to shut down freedom of expression is disgraceful.

Jews have said repeatedly that there is antisemitism evident in many of these marches, and that they make them feel intimidated. This weekend, British Jews will be in mourning, and will be anxious and afraid.

But I'm sure your right to freedom of expression trumps that. Go ahead and march, and show us who you are. Continue to demonise Israel, and focus on the ME to the exclusion of all the other war zones in the world, and contribute to the atmosphere that let this attack happen.

It's your right to freedom of expression, after all.

terrorist attack in Manchester synagogue, 2 people dead
"Hey babe, grab my palestine flag!"
Anti-semitism alive and well in the UK!

68,000 dead in Gaza - hence the protest.

The marches are showing what’s at the heart of the pro pally cause- pure unadulterated hate for the Jews. To protest yesterday is shocking and sickening. But what can we expect from people that gladly gobble up and then disseminate hate filled propaganda.

This is not true and an absurd thing to say.
It is a smear on all the good people on these marches- hundreds of thousands of people who want to protest this genocide, the slaughter of children and the complicity of our government.

You know nothing of the people on the marches if you make this comment. It is ridiculous and slanderous.

Tryingtodobetter82 · 03/10/2025 16:40

They'll be enjoying their pro-Hamas march even more. In some ways I think it will be good if the marches go ahead; draw these people out like pus from a boil so we can see who they truly are. I would allow the marches but ban face coverings.

In news that will surprise no-one, the father of the terrorist, a man who called his little baby 'Jihad,' praised Hamas on October 7th. You can see how the terrorist was raised. The father is an NHS surgeon which is scary in itself. Why aren't these people vetted before being allowed to enter and stay in the country? What exactly does it take for the authorities to see red flags? Are these people a danger to their patients in the NHS?

I’m not sure that “jihad” means what you think it means in this context. It doesn’t just mean holy war. It has other definitions such as internal struggle to be a good Muslim.

I’m not Muslim and I’m only googling so might be wrong but maybe it’s not that different to having a name with a positive characteristic related to it. I’ve met people called Happy for example

jeremyclarksonsthirdnipple · 03/10/2025 16:43

You are counting on the marchers having morals...good luck with that!
I think the Home Sec should not ask but cancel and if they do turn up then they are rounded up by the army.

24karatPalamino · 03/10/2025 16:44

What if people put their energy into
protesting against Hamas instead.

What of people protested for the return of the hostages.

Who started this war anyway.

Long way to go until they get anyhere near the half a million we wiped out in the War On Terror.
That wasnt a genocide tho, so probably doesnt count.
