The police and others have called out in the hope that there will be no pro Palestine marches tomorrow. They are stretched and say it will divert resources from trying to protect the Jewish people following the terrorist attack yesterday.

I agree. No march tomorrow AIBU?

@JollyLilacBeethey literally just did. The ‘money’ is in Qatar. They don’t always see eye to eye with those in Gaza in the war zone either. It’s not a pyramid scheme.

decenteringmen · 03/10/2025 23:06

PALESTINE FOREVER 🇵🇸

nicepotoftea · 03/10/2025 23:06

Clearly these marches do attract some people who are anti-semitic, so even if they don't represent the majority, doesn't it make sense to stop the marches for at least this weekend, just to show some respect for the Jewish community after a horrific attack?

DaringlyDizzy · 03/10/2025 23:06

SharonEllis · 03/10/2025 23:04

Yes anti zionism is usually motivated by antisemitism because to dently the self determination of the Jewish people is antisemitic.

Nope. They can find a home that wasnt already occupied. The state could put a stop to the illegal settlements. It could not operate a tier system with Gazans at the bottoms and Jews at the top. Even West Bank jews are part of this system where they are treated less than. NO HAMAS IN THE WEST BANK! Or do you think Palestinians are inherently 'bad' and need punishing from birth? As they are in the west bank

That would be too sensible wouldn’t it.

So not in Palestine then? Why aren’t Israel bombing Qatar and Turkey if that’s where the Hamas leaders are?

Ermmm. Did you miss the attack on Hamas leaders in Doha? Its actually not possible to just randomly attack loads of people in other sovreign states. But the majority of members of Hamas are fighting in Gaza. Have you done no research on this conflict?

Your post is a disgrace 😔

It absolutely is not. It is fair, decent, and true.

Today I have seen conflation, from all quarters, of the motives of the murderer in Manchester with those who are campaigning for an end to the mass killings and starvation in Palestine. I for one will never not oppose it.

Whilst children continue to be blown apart and bombed and starved?

Didnt stop them bombing lebanon. Would you be ok with them bombing London if a Hamas leader was here? No?

And what do you call the genocide that Israel is imposing on Palestine? A Christmas fucking present?

Hamas could have ended this by negotiating and releasing hostages. But here we are…. Why would they care? Too busy lining their pockets.

AngryPrincess · 03/10/2025 23:09

If the genocide stops, there won't be any marching.
Please, can we stop massacring children?
And please can we release the thousands of Palestinian hostages?
Pretty please?
Sad face?

Tryingtodobetter82 · 03/10/2025 23:09

Liverpool2025 · 03/10/2025 22:05

And the murdering being done by IDF is similarly as wrong, yes?

Targeting civilians is always wrong, whoever does it, and Israel’s military operations are not above moral scrutiny. The difference is context and intent: Hamas deliberately attacked civilians in their homes, while Israel’s stated objective is to stop a terrorist organisation that launched those attacks and continues to target civilians. Civilian casualties in the course of a military operation are tragic, and Israel is responsible for minimising them, but equating a state defending its people against terrorists with an organisation that intentionally murders civilians is a false equivalence. Moral accountability matters, but intent and responsibility cannot be ignored.

A sizeable amount of protesters are just rent-a-mob - they want to attack the police and cause trouble. They were in BLM protests, Trans ones and anything else that takes their fancy.

If you asked them to point to the Middle East on a map they’d probably vaguely indicate Australia.

There are radicals who roam MN looking to show how super superior they are but I bet they’ll be only waving virtual Palestinian flags tomorrow because their main work is patrolling threads sneering and calling on posters to “educate themselves”.

If you asked them to point out Palestine on a map they definitely couldn't, because no such country exists, nor did it ever exist as a country.
The only chant at these marches should be " free free Palestine from HAMAS!

stomachamelon · 03/10/2025 23:02

I would just of liked if they had respectfully delayed them for a week. Considering we also have the anniversary of Oct 7th.

Hundreds of Palestinians are murdered and starved every day. Delay will only lead to more death, due to this barbaric genocide that continues without stopping. My Palestinian friend in Gaza sent me a video of the sounds from her house, now half destroyed. The sound of drones, shelling and bombing is constant, you cannot sleep. Children all around scream from hunger, pain and disease.

You don't seem very knowledgeable. Jews are from Israel and have lived there continuously for over 2000 years.

Hamas absolutely does exist in the West Bank. It just isnt in charge there.

LipFillerAcrossTheUniverse · 03/10/2025 23:11

With a bit of luck, Storm Amy might put the protesters off.
