Please no pro Palestine marches tomorrow

NototerrorismIntheUK · 03/10/2025 15:15

The police and others have called out in the hope that there will be no pro Palestine marches tomorrow. They are stretched and say it will divert resources from trying to protect the Jewish people following the terrorist attack yesterday.

I agree. No march tomorrow AIBU?

Never seen a single pro Hamas flag or any Jewish hate on a march, been there seen it with my own eyes for decades. I don't need to rely on bias media or fake social media whispers, I have seen it with my own eyes and then seen it lied about to suit Zionist agendas. Fucking wake up

stomachamelon · 03/10/2025 21:21

@Squigglydumsthere are a few online articles but I cropped this one.

Please no pro Palestine marches tomorrow

Livelovebehappy · 03/10/2025 21:13

Of course it is. Because the people who support Palestine are by default supporting the people who instigated this war, and not placing the blame where it sits - at the feet of Hamas.

I think you need to do a bit research into the history. Hamas was founded in 1987 and Israel occupied Palestine long before then

Nestingbirds · 03/10/2025 21:22

Catssuddenlyappear · 03/10/2025 21:18

It is deeply racist to conflate 'Palestine' and 'Hamas'.

There hasn't been an election there in 20 years, most of the adults still living there probably haven't ever voted.

Don't let that get in the way of being a racist, as well as being ableist and ageist though 💅

Gaslighting much??

I can’t see you kicking off that Hamas have started this war and the people of Palestine are suffering because of them???

You are not calling for the peace deal to happen on Sunday.

You are enabling and supporting Hamas every time you protest, you are also emboldening every psycho wishing to become a martyr - fgs wake up! You are a danger to yourself and to everyone in this country. I hope they lock you up.

You seem to be quite selective in your disgust if you’ve been moved to post by Starmer’s recognition of Palestine but not the obliteration of Palestine.

Well said

ViciousCurrentBun · 03/10/2025 21:23

A quick Look shows various forces spending millions to police them. An already under funded and stretched service.

Since October 7th, 2023, 18,430 identified Palestinian children have been killed in Gaza, including a disconcerting number of toddlers: 937 under 12 months old, 486 under 6 months old, and many dozens killed at one or two days of age. Estimates also suggest that the Gaza Strip is home to nearly 40,000 orphans, 17,000 Wounded Child, No Surviving Family, and the world’s largest child amputee population.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli Government do not deny that attacks have regularly killed and injured hundreds of civilians, including children.

Gaza faces ‘largest orphan crisis’ in modern history, report says

Over 39,000 children have lost one or both parents in Gaza, new report by the Palestinian statistics agency says.

DrPrunesqualer · 03/10/2025 21:10

No they arent

The Palestinian flag is not supporting Hamas
If a terrorist flag was being flown here everyone carrying one would be arrested.

They aren’t because it isn’t.

So
Your post is not true !

But of course that’s what the people flying them are implying. They know what they’re doing. Are you one of those who’s been denouncing the British flag as a tool of the racists? Well I’m countering that by saying the Palestinian flag is a tool of terrorist supporters and anti semitism.

How do you know I'm not calling for a peace deal?

(For the record I'm not marching either, because I'll be in the pub)

I think you unhealthily fixated on policing other people's behaviours, are you like this in real life? Concerning if so

stomachamelon · 03/10/2025 21:26

@Strangerthanfictionsi have seen it. With my own eyes. I would rather not have seen it. It doesn’t suit any ‘agenda’ I am supposed to have. It fills me with fear. I know it’s not everyone but the more vocal, repugnant that take advantage.
It does a huge disservice to say nothing happens and belittle peoples fears. You can’t say it doesn’t happen at marches anymore than I can say it happens at every march.
surely you see that?

clipboardz · 03/10/2025 21:27

These threads have really been enlightening, so much deep rooted and insidious antisemitism.

PraisebetoGod · 03/10/2025 21:27

Those marching in Manchester itself did so behind a banner calling for "Intifada Revolution." For years now they've been chanting to Globalise the Intifada, or staying silent and running cover for the antisemites who did. They've now got what they asked for, or tacitly accepted.
Maybe they don't know what Intifada means. Maybe when they chant "From the River to the Sea" they don't know the Arabic speakers next to them are finishing the line the original way; "Palestine will be Arab." Maybe they don't know that when they join in the fun chants of "Khaybar Khaybar" they're referring to the massacre of a historic Jewish town in what is now Saudi Arabia. Maybe nobody told them the Houthis they were cheering on have the words "Curse the Jews" written on their flag. Maybe they don't know that when the man with the megaphone shouts about rocks and trees, he's referring to the Islamic myth that at the end of the world the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will be so disgusted they'll shout to the faithful 'there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him!'
Maybe they don't know anything, but - as they would be the first to say - if you're at a rally and there's a Nazi marching beside you, you're at a Nazi rally.

Agree

but I do worry some people are reading some hateful proporganda and believing all this crap

Not to mention that we also know Hamas have forcibly taken aid sent into Gaza and then sold it for profit to the desperate people they claim to represent. Not to mention that Hamas has engaged in a series of provocations throughout the current conflict designed to keep it going.

I can certainly believe both of these things about Hamas. The people of Gaza have suffered greatly due to their actions.

They have also suffered greatly due to the actions of the Israeli government, and that’s where our own government is complicit. And that’s where the urgency lies right now.

You are so right.

What exactly have you seen? Because I usually go to the marches and it shows there’s zero antisemitism and most of the talk is about stopping killing children which any sane person would agree with!

Oh come on. It’s been widely publicised in the media on many occasions where people on these marches, where they’ve been vocally antisemitic and had banners taken from them with inappropriate wording. You’re one person standing in a crowd of a few thousand, so you’re clearly not privy to everything that goes on, so stop pretending you are.

Anyone who attends one tomorrow will be showing themselves up as a nasty piece of work. No excuses anymore, even for the useful idiots.

Appalling that one went ahead in Manchester hours after the attack it's ilk had made inevitable.

How hypocritical
Why on earth should anyone stop protesting the continued killings and starvation of children?
Why exactly?

Same - the only trouble I've seen is from fash-y counter protestors trying to start shit.

Admittedly I'm in a smaller city, maybe it's different elsewhere
