NototerrorismIntheUK · 03/10/2025 15:15

The police and others have called out in the hope that there will be no pro Palestine marches tomorrow. They are stretched and say it will divert resources from trying to protect the Jewish people following the terrorist attack yesterday.

I agree. No march tomorrow AIBU?

For everyone that plans on going out to support Hamas tomorrow, they might wish to consider the impact this will have on their own lives when they are arrested or splashed on the front pages for the mindless thugs they are.

Your protest will do nothing to save anyone in Gaza.

All you are actually achieving is stoking up trouble and division here. Hamas is enjoying it though. No doubt they are getting pats on the back from Iran and Russia.

YOU are stoking up hatred and division here in this thread, doing it on purpose with name calling and rudness and you seem quite excited about the idea of possible violence. I think using a vile terror attack as a launchpad for your far right playbook is about as low as it gets

This!!! How is this not obvious?!

The dim witted vixar obviously doesn’t realise they are calling for death to all of Israel. Maybe he needs a hearing test or a test for dementia if he can’t follow proceedings? Or maybe he took a wrong turn and thought it was a dystopian carnival?

Thegreyhound · 03/10/2025 21:07

Livelovebehappy · 03/10/2025 21:02

Well the Palestinian flags are supporting Hamas. Simple really.. you know, a bit like when people say flying the British flag is in support of Tommy Robinson…

Absurd argument- I think you knew this even while you were making it. No parallel.

No you are wrong. People supporting a free Palestine is not the same as supporting Hamas.

Palestine Action wasn't banned because every single member posed a violent threat. It was banned because enough of the members posed a violent threat.

Once a group is banned in this way, it becomes a criminal offence to be associated with them and the police are obliged to act accordingly.

SharonEllis · 03/10/2025 21:08

Glistening · 03/10/2025 21:00

Does this not perfectly highlight the stupidity and shortsightedness of the decision to proscribe Palestine Action?

The police are now obliged to waste precious time and resource on these marches, while genuine threats occur elsewhere.

Thats exactly what the marches are meant to show.

How kind and worthy of them to make their point by potentially putting Jews at risk!

I am not the one being disrespectful. Nor am I the one likely to be arrested because I support banned groups. Have you ANY idea where this is headed? Obviously not.

What a nasty, ableist and ageist post.

I'd be embarrassed if I'd posted something as mean-spirited as that.

Have the day you deserve.

A peace deal with eroded rights for ordinary Palestinians. One where they have to endure the IDF as occupiers.

I can see why it isn't very popular...

Nope. Hamas have agreed everything apart from them being relinquished of their grip of the Palestinian people - they don’t want to lose that cash cow I’m afraid. You make the mistake of believing Hamas are disagreeing to sign because they care about the rights of the Palestinians being eroded. They really don’t care. It’s the money they’re thinking about, to line their fat cat bosses pockets. Having said that, there’s just something appeared on my news feed that Hamas are going to sign. Hallelujah!

Most Jewish people are horrified at what is happening in Gaza. Most muslims are horrified at what happened in Manchester.

Don't let's pick on each other when it's the Israeli government and a handful of extremists that are the issue.

This!

No they arent

The Palestinian flag is not supporting Hamas
If a terrorist flag was being flown here everyone carrying one would be arrested.

They aren’t because it isn’t.

So
Your post is not true !

If you want to support Hamas you go ahead. Don’t complain when your life is ruined by a criminal record, and as for the vicar - it just beggars belief.

The government decision is putting not just Jews but everyone at risk. They made the choice to direct police resource as it is being directed.

ChelseaBagger · 03/10/2025 21:07

That is not why it was banned and you know it.
In addition, the government is full of lawyers, has access to lawyers and makes law. They knew full well that proscribing the group would mean they would have to waste police resources on people holding pieces of paper.

sunflower1022 · 03/10/2025 21:11

I usually don’t comment, but I have been so disgusted by recent events (not just yesterday’s attack, but all the marches/ the normalisation of antisemitism/ Keir Starmer formally recognising the state of Palestine) that I can no longer remain silent.

To the Jewish community: I stand with you.

Cathandkin · 03/10/2025 15:33

I wish they'd said they abhored the murders, but one woman just said "I don't give a fuck about the Jewish community".
This was at the protest, in Manchester, last night. Her right to express herself, as you say, but I found it insensitive and divisive.

Can you show us this? Also how do you know - we’re you at the match too?

I haven’t heard any Muslim commentators condemning this . Maybe I have just missed them .

Yes you have missed them

MolliesMum2 · 03/10/2025 21:11

It’s a damn shame you don’t seem to know why you are even there…. Or who the pro Palestine group actually support!

Livelovebehappy · 03/10/2025 21:13

MolliesMum2 · 03/10/2025 21:07

No you are wrong. People supporting a free Palestine is not the same as supporting Hamas.

Of course it is. Because the people who support Palestine are by default supporting the people who instigated this war, and not placing the blame where it sits - at the feet of Hamas.

Aurielle · 03/10/2025 21:13

You can support the Jewish community and also fight for children and babies not to be mass murdered in Palestine. We can do both. Both communities are vulnerable and need protecting and fighting for.

Oh enough of the faux outrage. Boring.

clipboardz · 03/10/2025 21:14

Hamas has agreed to the deal apparently, that's good news.
