I have a question for those who feel a genocide is taking place.

If Hamas reject the deal, and Israel goes ahead with its offensive, which I worry might get even more intense, is it still genocide if Hamas could have stopped it to save their people, but chose not to?

I personally feel Hamas continue to make poor choices for their people but can always blame Israel for anything that comes from their poor decision making since many view them as fluffy freedom fighters and hate Jewish people and don't want them to even have a tiny country in a huge middle east. Many people only think in black and white and don't really understand the history.

I'm trying to think of a precedent for this situation ie in genocide history, and how we look back on it now....

Hamas wouldnt bother using human shields or bedding down like ticks under schools and hospitals if Israel was intent on murdering the entire population - there would be no point as civillian death isnt a deterrent to genocide.
