I'm so sorry but i couldnt tell you a thing Trump said. he was just talking

Evil Netanyahu talking now

I reckon his back was hurting standing there listening to Trump rabbit on (good)

Will Netanyahu stick to it? Doubtful.

Edit, to remove laughing emojis, even though Trump is laughable, they had no place on such a thread, sorry for any offence caused xx

Given the religious, geopolitical, territorial and ideological intricacies of the situation I wouldn't like to speculate on why they wouldn't accept the deal. Of course it would be best if the whole situation could be resolved. However, given Trumps bulldozing style of "diplomacy" I'm not convinced he's going to achieve that.

It's not that intricate. Hamas are done. They've lost the war.

They need to accept the deal so full aid provision can resume and Gaza can be rebuilt. It's a really comprehensive plan that if carried out will ensure a much brighter future for Gazans than the one offered by Hamas

It's not only down to Hamas anyway. Gazans are fed up with them, so is Qatar

The decision may not even be in Hamas' hands anymore

If people really, genuinely, cared about Palestinians they'd be hoping Hamas takes the deal instead of picking holes

Allegedly Hamas have yet to see the terms if the deal.....

Presumably the ‘deal’ they will be offered is ‘agree to this or face total annihilation. Your choice’.

Ok, so questioning Trump's ability to help broker a peace deal is "picking holes"? If it all hinges on the release of the hostages, and Hamas can't / won't comply to the demand, it would seem the rest of the discussion is moot anyway.

Why would they have an issue with any of this?

20 key points from the Trump-Netanyahu meeting

  1. Gaza to be a deradicalised terror-free zone
  2. Gaza to be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza
  3. Immediate end to war, if both sides agree
  4. Within 72 hours of Israel publicly accepting agreement, all Hamas-held hostages to be returned
  5. Once all hostages released, Israel to return 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1,700 detained Gazans
  6. Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and decommissioning weapons to be given amnesty. Members of Hamas who wish to leave Gaza provided with safe passage
  7. If deal agreed, full aid to be be immediately sent into the Gaza Strip
  8. Entry of distribution and aid in Gaza to proceed without interference from the two parties
  9. Gaza to be governed under temporary governance committee. The committee will be made up of qualified Palestinians and international experts, chaired by President Trump alongside others including Sir Tony Blair
10. A Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energise Gaza will be created 11. A special economic zone to be established with preferred tariff and access rates 12. No one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who wish to leave will be free to do so — and free to return 13. Hamas and other factions agree to not have any role in the governance of Gaza. All military and terror infrastructure, including tunnels and weapon production facilities, to be destroyed 14. A guarantee provided by regional partners to ensure Hamas, and factions, comply with their obligations and that New Gaza poses no threat to its neighbours 15. A temporary International Stabilisation Force (ISF) to immediately deploy in Gaza. The ISF will train and provide support to vetted Palestinian police forces in the Strip 16. Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza. As the ISF establishes control, the IDF will withdraw. The IDF will progressively hand over the Gaza territory it occupies to the ISF 17. In the event Hamas delays or rejects this proposal, the above, including the scaled-up aid operation, will proceed in the terror-free areas handed over from the IDF to the ISF 18. Interfaith dialogue process to be established based on the values of tolerance and peaceful co-existence to try and change mindsets and narratives of Palestinians and Israelis 19. As Gaza re-development advances, the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood 20. The United States will establish a dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians to agree on a political horizon for peaceful and prosperous co-existence

And if Hamas can't/won't comply then the war will continue and that will be on them

I'm so shocked to see so many terrorist supporters here. Have you blanked out what they did on 7th October?

Well yes, which is why it's an important topic to discuss. Everyone wants peace for the sake of ordinary people on both sides, whether the politicians involved can achieve that via this deal is surely up for debate?

I'm firmly in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp.

Do you think there's a chance this deal won't achieve that? If not, why?

Corbyn had the brass neck to say ‘the events of October 7th have lead to more public support for Palestinians’

‘Events’ 🙄

Both sides have form for intransigence mainly.

Israel has already agreed to the plan, including opposition ministers. I think it looks very promising

Unfortunately, and unsurprisingly, they pop up in every thread on Israel or Gaza. The worst of their comments usually get deleted by MN HQ, some of the things I've seen said on here have been jaw dropping. I think people belong to vile little bubbles and don't realise when they speak outside of those dark little corners that normal people are repulsed by them

ComfortFoodCafe · 29/09/2025 21:22

nobody agrees with 7th october, but to actively starve out & bomb the citizens of Gaza full well knowing that HAMAS was not in those buildings isnt terroism no?

Can you explain who exactly has expressed support for terrorists on this thread?

Uggbootsforever · 29/09/2025 21:22

ComfortFoodCafe · 29/09/2025 20:19

It wont work at all. Hamas will never accept it and as vile as that sounds I hope they dont, what Israel have done they need to be held accountable for it. We didnt let Germany get away with it!

You want more Palestinians to die so you can have the luxury of seeing Israel ‘held accountable’ (aka more war with no result)?

ComfortFoodCafe · 29/09/2025 21:23

Also stopping aid into Gaza for the citizens that are dying in the thousands, is that not a war crime? No?

Sleepinggreyhounds · 29/09/2025 21:24

I really hope this is in good faith.

ComfortFoodCafe · 29/09/2025 21:25

What about Israel attacking the flotilla with drones IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS? is that just okay with you all too? You make me sick.

Apologies, I was laughing at how shit trump is but have thankfully been able to edit my op. X

You’re laughing at how shit Trump is yet no one else is doing anything to try to end the situation. It’s interesting how people like you can’t put your hatred for Trump aside over common sense.

Irrespective of if you like or hate him we should all be rooting this to work for the sake of peace but your need to make snarky comments is priority. The ball is now in Hamas’s court and I do hope they can reach a deal not because I like or hate Trump but because peace in the region is a good thing for the world.

'Pro'-Palestinians are never that pro Palestinian. The poor Palestinians are just cannon fodder for them so they are free to criticise Israel. One of Hamas' leaders said on tv they're a nation of martyrs, I guess their supporters in the West see them in the same way.

Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib (a Gazan) on X and Facebook has been very vocal about how western supporters do more harm than good to the Palestinian cause

Easy to say whilst you’re safe in the UK and your family aren’t being used as human shields by Hamas.
