DH pissed me off before we even landed on holiday

DH and I are away for the first time in two years and I’m already wishing I didn’t bother.

He had the aisle seat on the flight over. One of the air stewardesses accidentally brushed against him and said sorry. He says ‘don’t you worry darling, that’s the most action I’ve had in years’ and she awkwardly smiled.

I told him (when she was out of ear shot) that he should not have said that and he basically laughed at me and said something about what man wouldn’t appreciate a nice arse in his face.

So, there has been a bit of an atmosphere since we landed and he’s accusing me of trying to ruin the holiday, which is a bloody cheek as far as I’m concerned!!

NotSmallButFunSize · 26/09/2025 18:23

Ugh what a creep - the shit stewardesses must have to deal with 🙄

Is he always such a pig?

SunnyViper · 26/09/2025 18:23

Vile creature. I seriously would divorce over that as it is a massive character flaw that won’t be overcome.

Well it certainly wasn’t myself. He has managed to behave on past holidays!

Seriously? Men don't just turn into twats.
You must have had an inkling he was prone to being a knob. Who even talks like that ( "action "and "arse" would annoy me more than him making a cheeky comment about an accidental brush up)?

100% read it before!

WiddlinDiddlin · 26/09/2025 18:29

Sorry, I have also read a very similar post - the husband making a lewd remark along the same lines of this, wife understandably pissed off and saying so, husband doing the old 'you're ruining the holiday for calling me out on my shitty behaviour' thing.

Conceivably... there is more than one many out there who would do this though.

You can double down and try to get him to apologise for behaving like a pig and move on - or play nice and divorce the arse hole when you get home - or decide you're going to put up with such behaviour for life and grin and bear it.

Thems yer options.

I think you are thinking of the OP whose H bought a strip of raffle tickets from the flight attendant and made a comment on her coming with him if he won the prize which was a holiday. The whole thread got derailed because the OP called her an Air hostess.

Evaka · 26/09/2025 19:39

This post makes my stomach heave. So sorry OP. I hope you're somewhere you can go off and enjoy yourself solo. What an utter fucking pig.

Same, almost word for word.

Definitely - me too! Can there be more than 1 of these neanderthals around??

Pollqueen · 26/09/2025 19:42

Yes he's a bit of a knob but if it were me, I wouldn't let a twatish comment ruin my holiday.

Just flirt outrageously with the resort staff then he may get it

The last one was slightly different but involved the husband asking a member of the cabin crew if she was included in some sort of deal.

The word you're searching for is "me".

But I agree YANBU and your husband is a pig.

flippyflopss · 26/09/2025 20:03

Defo read this before but a tad different.

I definitely have. I even checked the date of the OP to see if it was a zombie thread.

MrsTerryPratchett · 26/09/2025 20:22

He’s a pig and I bet he didn’t magically turn into one.

Have a lovely holiday alone as much as you can, break up when you get back.

But you probably won’t because he’s probably always been a bit like this.

SevenKingsMustDie · 26/09/2025 20:24

CoastalCalm · 26/09/2025 18:22

I’m certain I’ve read this before

That was my first thought when I read OP’s post…

canchewcashew · 26/09/2025 20:41

Yeah, definitely feels familiar. I'm feeling a bit Hmm, but maybe air travel brings out the 'dirty old man' in some men. As a pp said, I can't believe this kind of behaviour comes as a surprise. People don't just suddenly become pervy as soon as they board a plane.

Bobiverse · 26/09/2025 20:44

Someone posted this exact thing a few weeks ago.

Edit: Ah, it was a little different. Seems there a lot of mumsnetter husbands being perverts on planes.

Userengage · 26/09/2025 20:48

Another creepy, pervy pig on a plane.

MagicLoop · 26/09/2025 20:50

He's a pig. And he didn't suddenly turn into a pig on this flight. So the question is, why are you married to a pig?

TheatricalLife · 26/09/2025 20:53

🤮
That's likely to the last action he'll see ever with that repulsive behaviour. What on earth do men think when they say stuff like that to women? That we find it funny or sexy? It reeks of dirty old perv.
