DH pissed me off before we even landed on holiday

DH and I are away for the first time in two years and I’m already wishing I didn’t bother.

He had the aisle seat on the flight over. One of the air stewardesses accidentally brushed against him and said sorry. He says ‘don’t you worry darling, that’s the most action I’ve had in years’ and she awkwardly smiled.

I told him (when she was out of ear shot) that he should not have said that and he basically laughed at me and said something about what man wouldn’t appreciate a nice arse in his face.

So, there has been a bit of an atmosphere since we landed and he’s accusing me of trying to ruin the holiday, which is a bloody cheek as far as I’m concerned!!

Feels like there’s a trend of people finding (probably made up) threads on other forums and adding a bit more story and spamming Mumsnet.
This forum feels really fake these days. Have been on here almost since the beginning and it’s full of rubbish now. The internet will destroy itself and all that.

@DarlingJess Why is he doing it now ? Are you not sleeping together? Are you going through a rough patch ? Have you never seen him behave like a pig before , no other signs ?

For goodness sake. A cheeky remark and the world yells sexist. He's a bloke! Perhaps he has a point and your just jealous! I'd have made a joke of it and not pulled the WOKE card. It sounds like the hostess was reacting because you were.

I don’t find it the least bit surprising that multiple women have posted similar threads. Creepy middle-aged man humour is pretty ubiquitous. They reach a certain point in life where they feel entitled to do it and they have no idea how pathetic it makes them look.
DD1 had a job during Covid where she had to take temperatures of people entering the venue by pointing a gun-style thermometer at people’s foreheads. She was 21. It was deathly boring so she used to keep a tally of just how many lame-arse men old enough to be her father made a stupid variation of a “Am I hot enough for you love?” joke. And in the over 40s, it was the vast majority of them and more likely to happen if they had a wife and family with them. 🤮
