he didn't:

“I see that disinfectant, it knocks it (the novel coronavirus) out in a minute. One minute. Is there a way we could do something like that, by injection inside (the body)?”, Trump asked medical advisers at the White House during the Coronavirus Task Force daily briefing on Thursday, April 23, 2020

So sorry to have to clarify but are you honestly saying that Trump suggesting we INJECT bleach into the body (just to be clear, this would kill you) is better than the much-reported/garbled version that has him saying 'drink bleach, it knocks out Covid in one minute' (and this would also kill you)?

I'm all for clarity and reporting the facts, but I think you may have picked the wrong nit-picking hill to die on, here! Apols if I misinterpreted your motives.

"Autism is a condition in a state of slow flux. In 2021, a study found a 787% rise in the number of diagnoses between 1998 and 2018 in the UK"

Shouldn't we all be screaming and demanding a real answer to the horrific rise in autism?

Why aren't we?

In 2013 the UK stopped using the term Asperger's
Anyone who would of received that diagnosis, was caught under the umbrella of ASC .. autism..
During 2010s and 2020s increased awareness and new research towards women and girls with autism changed the years of under diagnosis to more level numbers aligning with males
Both those changes will of massively increased the levels of diagnosis in autism

Beowulfa · 23/09/2025 12:17

ColdSalads · 23/09/2025 11:49

Did he tell you to drink or inject it?

No he didn't.

So who is the liar, you or him?

I didn't say that he advised drinking or injecting disinfectant so I have not lied about anything. My first post on this thread was to point out that his question was stupid and unstatesmanlike.

Mummy, if I inject bird blood into my arms will I be able to fly? This is a perfectly reasonable question from a curious 5 year old, but I don't take medical advice from 5 year olds.

Watch the first video. In his own words.

President Donald Trump at the White House press briefing, 23 April 2020

Coronavirus: Outcry after Trump suggests injecting disinfectant as treatment

Doctors call the president's latest remarks about coronavirus treatment "dangerous" and "ridiculous".

Who even asked him???
Surely a President of US has more important things to sort out?
Why can’t he ever allow qualified people to come up with factual answers.

I'm not going to convince you with arguments as you have your mind made up. I am looking forward to seeing the results of the studies. You aren't. That's ok.

You don't like or respect RFK jr and think he is not intelligent, I do. That's ok!! We can disagree and I don't have to try to convince you of my side. You judge the I'm wrong and haven't done enough research, that's ok. I think I have and have a different opinion to you.

I have liked and respected RFK Jr for many years for many different reasons - I'm not someone who has just come across him recently and been influenced by the current narrative.

I support anyone, whoever it may be, finding the cause or causes of autism, or any illness affecting children. There is zero chance of any argument or point I make making one iota of difference to your opinion on any of these subjects.

I've also been aware of him for many years, having been born and raised in NYC and worked as a lawyer there for many years. I do respect the work he did as an environmentalist, but it ends with that, and I find it disappointing that he's now turned his back on the cause he held so dear. My views of him have not come about recently, nor as a result of 'mainstream media,' although they have been solidified by both reporting and as a result of having watched quite a lot of his recent testimony and questioning.

You come across on here, at least, as considerably more reasonable than most of the people I've run across who support him. And you're right, it's unlikely to make me change my viewpoint, but it is why I'm interested in your replies to the questions I've asked.

How do you feel about his cuts to cancer research, including childhood brain cancer?
What makes you feel that he and the people around him will conduct reliable studies?
How do you feel about his firing/forcing the resignation of the medics/scientists involved with the HHS?

and another - Since MRNA technology has shown huge promise in fighting cancer, specifically pancreatic, which has one of the worst outcomes of any cancers, how do you feel about him cancelling MRNA research?

sittingonabeach · 23/09/2025 12:31

Because Trump is 1. a narc, 2. an autocrat, and 3. a man with limited intellectual capabilities who thinks he can say what he wants because he's the best (refer to 1 as being a narc and 2 an autocrat with power).

Because the Democrats put up a senile old man and then tried to gaslight the American people that everything was fine.

Is that not what is happening right now?

Beachtastic · 23/09/2025 12:37

EweCee · 22/09/2025 22:23

I’d imagine it’s because he can’t pronounce the word ‘acetaminophen’……

You are correct, see 0:48 here 🤡

JamieCannister · 23/09/2025 12:38

BeHappySloth · 22/09/2025 22:03

I agree, but how was this man allowed to become the most powerful person on the planet?

Answer - A form of democracy in the USA which doesn't have intelligence or morality tests for voters, plus a Democratic Party which pursued some ideas that were so deeply unpopular that even if there were intelligence and morality tests for voters many intelligent moral people would have still gone for the idiotic cruel sex offender as opposed the the woman supporting an end to women's and LGB rights.

NeuralNurture · 23/09/2025 12:40

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) depletes glutathione, the liver’s main antioxidant and detoxifying molecule. So any use of this drug carries a risk because harmful substances will be present in your body for longer or at higher levels than if it was completed avoided.

Avoiding it completely in pregnancy is a good idea. Along with avoiding many chemicals, dyes, and other pharmaceutical products as much as you can.

Autism is likely caused by many factors, genetic ones are not acting alone, there can still be dozens of environmental factors that increase the chance of developing autism to different severities, depending on your genetic predisposition.

The way that Acetaminophen is often combined with vaccines, in adults and children, is likely a harmful combination.

I really welcome these discussions, dig into the research papers, and make your own mind up there. You cant rely on the media/government to give you the information you need, you'll only find the information in the best interests of the companies that own our media.

usedtobeaylis · 23/09/2025 12:41

Trump and RFK are a pair of absolute zoomers. They're not intelligent, or smart, or even curious. They're a pair of dangerous pricks.

Emmz1510 · 23/09/2025 12:41

The sooner he fucks off and dies the better

Cupofteaandabiccy · 23/09/2025 12:42

I’m going to take one for the team here in giving a demo of why autism diagnosis is rising for those that don’t understand the really clearly written research on this.
I was born in 80s. Married, three kids. I’m now 40s, got diagnosed privately this yr. husband, middle son also diagnosed privately with adhd. Oldest diagnosed age 20 while at uni (nhs). Youngest is 12 but it’s not obvious yet if he has autism.

all of us would have passed the ‘normal if a bit quirky’ test 20yrs ago, maybe even 10. We’re all doing fine.

thats 5 people who would not have been diagnosed. Many many of my friends families are similar. We didn’t just drop from the sky as ‘new autistic people’ into the stats. It’s traceable through both our families, it’s just that recently we diagnose it.

(There are of course also concerns about other factors, but honestly, nothing as provable as genetics and rise in diagnosis).

that trump has found a way to simultaneously punish and blame women and mothers is no surprise to anyone, on anything, ever.

usedtobeaylis · 23/09/2025 12:44

Amazing how nobody was talking about paracetamol in pregnancy a week ago but now there are people convinced it's the devil.

Even if he has his doubts about something, why isn't it resulting in significantly more funding and resources for checks and balances? Why instead is health care and research having funding cut?

TheSpiritofDarkandLonelyWater · 22/09/2025 22:06

When is he ever not?

He is creating a two-tier society, with a rich, powerful, ruling elite and everyone else scraping an existence.

Also really interesting how this is monopolising the media cycle pushing out other things, like, for example, those Epstein files...

I can imagine that the Amish lifestyle - no crowded environments, lots of familiarity and routine, more time outdoors etc would be more supportive of the nervous system and therefore easier on people with autism than our fast paced, busy and indoor lifestyles.

Agree with this.

My DH is on the spectrum and it is only because DS1 is autistic was that we realised he was too and DS2 is also on the waiting g list to be assessed.

He grew up with structure, doing hobbies that were considered normal for a boy his age. He excelled in maths and sports, plenty of friends, so nothing like the types some posters have said those with autism are. What his own family didn’t notice was his anxiety, low moods, and he has been more vocal about it now that he has gotten older because they are the types that go on and on about what he should be doing when he is prioritising his mental health.

As he has gotten older, the traits have become more obvious.

Growing up autism, wasn’t spoken about at all. ADD was what I heard about and how such kids just needed a good smacking and they’d act right 🙄. Other than that, it was visible disabilities.

As long as it didn’t cause what people considered an “issue” that didn’t really effect or disturb people too much, it wasn’t a problem (depending on who was doing it).

I welcome discussion too, but saying it's 'likely a harmful combination' is the sort of unfounded opinion (like Trump's) that can cause untold damage. It's just your speculation with no evidence to back it up.

Chenecinquantecinq · 23/09/2025 13:09

Have a lot of elderly relatives who are clearly autistic but obviously were never diagnosed as it was not a thing back then. Really eccentric behaviour I now highly suspect is autism. Things were easier in a way too then could leave school at 15. Trying to speak to my mother suggesting elderly relatives might be autistic despite very very obvious perculiarities and struggles throughout life just meets with an absolute refusal to even consider they might be. This is why rates are higher acceptance and increased diagnosis.

TiredCatLady · 23/09/2025 13:10

Mark my words: this will be twisted to deny women treatment for illness during pregnancy and pain relief during labour to an even worse degree than is already present as doctors fear being sued or they just legislate it.

Going full Gilead.

If I was a woman in the US right now, I’d be looking to move just about anywhere else.
