To people who said her husband was hateful and what they preached was hateful, she just forgave the killer, as God would. Powerful speech.

The messed up young man who thought shooting man he didn't like was the answer, will go to prison and no longer be with his boyfriend. Erika Kirk no longer has her husband and her children have list their father.

I thought his speech was heartfelt and very honest.

Interesting that the clip on the BBC website is very bland. Shame that they don’t cover this amazing message if they’re going to cover her speech at all.

Or just maybe she believes that her God wants her to forgive.

So did I. I suspect many haven't seen it and it's automatic attack. I dont think I would be able to forgive someone who killed someone I loved. It sounded heartfelt.

She doesn’t forgive him, she SAYS she forgives him - it’s not the same.

she’s gone on record saying that she trusts the government to sentence him. She said she didn’t want to directly call for the death penalty in case she got to heaven and Jesus wouldn’t let her in saying:

”an eye for an eye, huh”

she said she wanted to be with Charlie so wouldn’t take the risk of Jesus not letting her be with him.

she has NO IDEA what heaven is like, no idea what Christian forgiveness is like. The idea she would barter with God is hideous, the idea she thinks God would prevent her being with her husband so she had to manipulate God in some way 🤷‍♀️

it’s all insanity, none of this is how God or forgiveness works

she’s not a Christian, at least not in any way I understand it.

I misread your comment. I thought you felt she was heartfelt. I think Trump believes in the death penalty so he believes what he said. They have different views, one forgives and tge other doesn't, which hardly offers proof of being told what to day by Trump et al.

I also don't think I'd be dancing a jig at a ball game after someone I "loved" had been killed either or start bragging about the remodeling job i had commissioned when someone asked how I was holding up either so it's very hard to judge with Trump

i feel so sorry for her. She probably has to say she forgives him, or the gun-lobby would be on to her.

Who knows what she thinks privately no one knows. But given his stance on guns, and the money that he must have made from touting those views, I am sure she was put in a position of having to state this.

I've just watched some clips of the memorial, I've never seen anything like it. I had a feeling that they were going to try and turn him into some sort of holy figure.

It feels like all sense of proportion has gone. I've never been so glad to live in the U.K.

I watched her speech. I thought she was remarkably composed and dignified. I don't share her politics or religious views at all, but I do feel very sorry for her as a young woman who has lost her husband and the father of her young children in an incredibly violent and traumatic way.

As for her husband, I found some of his views abhorrent, but he did not deserve to die for them.

Oh, I'm sure it was "noteworthy," and I'm sure it was written by professionals.

I'm just saying that it may not be as meaningful or angelically sincere as their fans imagine.
