I think she was persuaded to make that speak a couple of days after his death. The words don’t fit with how she must have been feeling. I think it was written for her. For some people makeup is an armour. I am against what she and her husband stood for but I wouldn’t knock her after seeing the footage of his death. Regardless of his views, his death was horrific.
I disagree with him being made a martyr though. I only saw snippets of footage of the memorial though. But don’t kick her when she is in the floor; otherwise we are no better than Trump’s words.

And yet I know that yes, she is a better person than Charlie Kirk was.
Simply by the fact that she objects to his views, this tells me she is a better person than he was.

Just because he got killed it doesn't suddenly make him a good person. Vile people get killed too.

So you’ll assume she’s an awful person based on what concrete evidence? Rather than facts that she’s clearly not awful - she has forgiven her husbands murderer and expressed she doesn’t want the death penalty for him, she also was pleased there hadn’t been riots or protests in her husband’s name. That’s not an awful person .

She married someone who was perhaps (outside of the administration itself) the leading voice in the election denialism movement.

I don’t think we should be judging how someone else is grieving. I abhor their poltics but this this swipe is a new low.

Obviously everyone grieves differently but the videos she’s been producing are just grotesque. I’m pretty sure I saw a video of one of their daughters singing a song to his body last night. I mean wtf?

Compare her to some of the other public widows with young children, and it’s clear she just sees this as an opportunity to make money.

Yet absolutely nothing is off limits for him and his ilk? Freedom of speech only works one way apparently

he was debating political views, not judging someone on the way they grieve a lost loved one.

I mean, his response to the Uvalde shooting and George Floyd’s murder showed how much respect he had (or lacked) for grieving family members.

So - the basis of hard left wing politics is the view that for someone to get rich someone else has to get poor, or if there is a winner then there must be a loser. Or as Marx put it the Proletariat and Bourgeoisie. That for every oppressed there is an oppressor or ultimately for every good side there is a bad or evil side.

The hard left then use such terms as fascist, Nazi, homophobic, misogynistic, racist, genocidal or whatever trending buzzword against any opposing views to reinforce the narrative of good vs bad.

The thing is @MrsSkylerWhite, I genuinely ask you to reflect for a short moment that regardless of politics that you have reached a point where because you disagree with the "other side" so much that you feel it is morally justified to dismiss or mock the heartbreak and agony of a young widow and two young children who witnessed their husband and father being brutally murdered.

And ask you to reflect that maybe just maybe you have become the "bad guys".

I don’t agree with a lot of things that he said but no one deserves what happened to him and to come on here and criticize his wife is vile she has just lost her husband and two small children have just lost there father unless you have been there you don’t know how you will react

the left, especially the hard left, are so entrenched in believing they’re the keepers of all worldly wisdom, their minds are closed to discussion outside of their echo chamber.

They’re turning it into some sort of political campaign. Something is off about the entire thing

I agree with so many on this thread that people have become so entrenched in their politics that they are becoming rotten with hate from the inside.

We should actively encourage disagreement and diversity of thought and opinions. Explorations of how to improve our society by taking the best of ideas without being held back by dogma.

OP leave her to grieve in her own way. There was no need to start a thread so full of hate. You have encouraged others to articulate similar. It’s not great. Don’t be that person.

I haven’t mocked his wife. I stated, truthfully, that the man was a racist, misogynistic, homophobe.

That his death - and his widow - is being used so shamefully as political capital by Trump and Vance and that he is being spoken of in almost saintly terms is sickening. His hateful views are being completely rewritten.
