Don’t know what that means? My “ilk”. Please explain.

It isn’t difficult, if you can't grasp it I don't think there is any value in spending time explaining it to you.

What is disgusting is claiming that a racist, homophobic misogynist had god on his side.

You know what’s really interesting?

You actually think you are better than Charlie Kirk.

In spite of this disgusting thread you’ve started.

You actually think you are a better person than he was.

Don’t stop at racist, homophobe and misogynist. Go on - demonstrate to everyone how much of a better person than him you are. What about fascist? Nazi. Transphobe. Islamaphobe.

He really was just the Worst. Person. Ever, eh?

Not you though. You’re great.

Well done you!

ThatDreamyLemonBiscuit · 22/09/2025 02:16

Couldn't stand it.

He was a truly dreadful man, and she got engaged to him around the time his organization were ramping up their efforts to assist Trump in trying to overthrow the results of a free and fair election - so I can only assume she's an awful person, too.

Unfortunately, his murder does afford an excellent PR opportunity to the scumbags in Charlie Kirk's orbit - so not only was it wrong in the basis sense that murder is wrong, but it will likely prove terribly counterproductive.

The OP is better than Charlie Kirk was. Most people are.

If someone is going to play a part in trying to end democracy, they can't expenct to receive kind words from the people whose basic rights they tried to trample over.

I can appreciate that sometimes people with views that I find deplorable will win at the ballot box. That's a free and fair society for you. If you don't believe in a free and fair society, and try to end it...yeah, you're an about lowlife (and certainly not a defender of free speech, however your try to advance your brand).

Don't forget she was fully miced up when saying goodbye to his body with camera crew 😳. All that ,while I was recovering from the terrifying revenge speech she made to the nation while the perpetrator was in custody .
She's definitely built different to the rest of us, I'll say that.
And no I won't be silenced by the CK apologists and wont someone think of the children crowd.

Exactly my thoughts. Thanks for articulating so much better than I could have done.

She holds several degrees from what I've read. Her husband preached women should only go to college for a 'Mrs' degree and not work. must only apply to other women though. Also he believed women were past their prime after 30, yet married Erika at 32, so again, must apply to other women.

All the christofascist weirdos and bots turn up on Mumsnet after midnight, don't they?

I've read snippets of the eulogies. It sounds like Erika Kirk is going to become some kind of figurehead, and all the men are trying to out-Christian each other.

She's been likened to Serena Joy of the Handmaid's Tale 😳.

I agree.

And people can praise and eulogize Charlie Kirk all they want. I’m not telling them they are vile and disgusting.

I do think they are misguided in their judgement of his character though.

You have to factor in the Russian time difference too, don't forget 😉.

Charlie Kirk’s death has led to me finding out there are Groypers. It could be the Groypers. Or anyone from the alt left or alt right.

Saw about 20 seconds of it before switching off. Which was more than enough.

20 seconds more than me. Crass from top to bottom.

He wasn't a Christian either so the whole charade is perverse.

Thought Trump was hilarious though when asked "how he was holding up" after the loss of your friend Charlie Kirk; couldn't give a shiny shite about him.

I tried to understand but I don't even know wtf Twitch is and I'm not a gamer or have kids or a partner that is, so it's too much rabbit holing for me 🫣.
I'll try and YouTube again .

Well she doesn’t have the luxury of staying at home now because her husband was murdered. Someone has to go out earning to support the kids.

Osmosisfreight · 22/09/2025 05:14

I’d never heard of him until he was murdered, which I think was awful, I do not agree that he should have been murdered, nor do I celebrate it, however, I have since looked him up, watch video and interviews etc. What is it that people liked about him? He was awful, his views were awful, does he get a pass because he was a Christian? Imo Christians don’t spread hate and division - if he were an Arab or a black man he would have been absolutely vilified and deffo not used by the Government. TP seems very cult like to me.

She clearly put herself together to put her best foot forward to eulogise her husband. Whatever else you think of her the woman has a spine and she was doing her best. I have a lot of respect for someone with the self control to get through that. I’d be a snivelling wreck.

Your comment is really quite cruel.

I agree. I didn’t agree with most of what Charlie Kirk said or believed, but one thing I cannot stand is when people try and say things like ‘oh i’d never get out of bed again’ etc. Like their grief would be far worse. The worst one is when someone loses a child and you see people in comments on social media say they are so strong as I wouldn’t have been able to go on if I lost my child. I hate that. Stop making these kind of comments, grief is not a competition for mourners.

Everyone copes differently and Erika Kirk is clearly a strong stoic woman, who is well versed already in public speaking. When I delivered my dad’s eulogy without a tear, people said oh I couldn’t have done it, i’d have been a wreck. We are all different, and for me, I couldn’t have let a stranger stand up there and talk to the mourners about my dad. But i’d have never said that to someone who chose to do that. We are all different. Let Erika Kirk deal with it in their own way without judgement.

Erica was so moving. God keep her safe

I hope He does a better job than with her husband...

knitnerd90 · 22/09/2025 06:24

Stephen Miller was like listening to a Nazi official.

The whole thing was sickening. I'll leave Kirk's wife out of it, but the rest of them have no excuse at all.

PreciousTatas · 22/09/2025 06:25

And this is what happens when people are radicalised enough to dehumanise others.

We all recognise it when it happens on the far right, but I"ve been horrified to see a frightening amount of fellows on the left unable to see the bitter twisted hatred in themselves.

To the point of openly enjoying mocking a young mother at her husbands funeral for wearing too much makeup, and for not grieving properly (almost identical to those attacking Madelines mother).

I'd say you should feel shame, but as you are akin in radicalisation to the racist skin heads who use to beat my father up, I already understand that you will never look inside yourselves and realise, you are rotten inside.

ViolaChomp · 22/09/2025 06:25

Financially, she’ll be fine. Charlie left her ‘a multi million dollar political juggernaut with chapters around the country’ Erika is CEO of Turning Point now

Why would you watch it anyway, or was it so you could run to MN and post about it
