Starmer’s support for Palestine

Steph888 · 21/09/2025 15:39

Am I alone in seeing this as one of the darkest days in UK history?

Never before did I think I’d end up living under a government who reward terrorism.

Starmer and Labour are grotesque. History will not be kind to them. They have now empowered all terrorists and their supporters.

We deserve such better than this reprehensible government. They disgust me.

"Those dead children would have grown up to be terrorists anyway."

If you’ve read my comment as offering some simple moral absolution for civilian deaths, you’ve seriously mis-read it.

Because they'll never be allowed to go home? Why should they help israel with its ethnic cleansing? What racist excuse did you want to insert?

I'll tell you why so you can brush up on your history. Egypt has a problem with the Muslim Brotherhood which has direct links to Hamas. Jordan expelled Ararat as he and his Palestinian brethren tried to overthrow the King when they were guests in his country. They then went to Lebanon and started a civil war against Christians. That's why nobody wants them.

Apart from Boris, Liz Truss, Dave Cameron, May.

I don't recall any of those costing the UK £3 trillion.

EsmaCannonball · 21/09/2025 17:16

Starmer is a terrible, weak, pathetic man. He's played sectarian Labour party politics with a crucial issue of foreign policy, rewarding a massacre and incentivising terrorists to carry on torturing and starving hostages. By appeasing Islamists he has made life in the UK more corrupted and dangerous. Those men you saw barracking and threatening Jess Phillips? They have power over Labour now. The Muslim Brotherhood money and networks are gaining influence.

The Arabs in that region have repeatedly been offered their own state - on incredibly generous terms, disadvantageous to Israel - and have repeatedly rejected the idea, often torpedoing the process with a fresh intifada. These people are more invested with destroying the state of Israel than they are in founding the state of Palestine.

So if a person is against russia invasion of ukraine, are they antichristian?

Tired of people pulling the antisemite card. These are generals with weapons killing loads of people. Their religion is irrelevant. Is still wrong.

This reminds me of the people partying in the streets of London as news of October 7th broke

Those people were cunts.

It still doesn't justify supporting genocide.

Croakymccroakyvoice · 21/09/2025 17:12

I dont think anyone is saying Antisemitism is OK or justified. It's abhorrent.

It's being minimise and downplayed. The threat to British Jews is very very real.
Comments like antisemitism is awful etc etc but followed up by saying something like criticising Israel is not antisemitism. The subtext is clear.

caringcarer · 21/09/2025 17:18

It is indeed a dark day. Irrespective of what you think of Palestine and Israel, what Starmer has done is bow down to terrorists. This was Hamas’s plan all along to garner the sympathy of the useful idiots. I’m so angry at this man who has sold my country and its ethics down the river. He is stupid and immoral. He has rewarded the rape, torture and murder of women and children. Disgusting human being.

I just hope a future PM will reverse his decision making.

MissFitss · 21/09/2025 17:19

He's done this to save his own skin from his back benchers (nothing new there) and to try to save seats in certain constituencies later down the line.

It's always about him.

Keir first, country second.

No morals, no backbone, no principles.

He's a pathetic, weak man.

This will haunt him just like Blair is haunted by Iraq.

Like the hostages should be free I assume?

Edited

There are 20 hostages. Millions of Palestinians are suffering (and have been for decades). Why do you think the hostages are so special that everything must be about them at all times?

LeonMccogh · 21/09/2025 17:20

If Netanyahu wanted the hostages back they’d have been home in time for lunch on October 8th.

Those are the exact same people going on the hate marches, probably even running them

We know that the leader of the PSC applied to run a march as soon as 6/10 happened

But we're repeatedly told they're not antisemitic

gottakeeponmoving · 21/09/2025 17:21

Starmer is a disgrace.

So its best if they stay in their own country unmolested by Israelis then isnt it.

Criticising the actions of the Israeli government is not anti-semitism. It's humanity! Nobody gets a free pass on their behaviour, be they Jewish, Christian, Muslim or atheist. You cannot silence the world by saying that criticism of anyone Jewish is anti-semitism.

Jeez, I can't believe what you wrote.

Do you KNOW what Hamas did to women and babies? It was vile.

I don't agree with genocide but Hamas started all of this and they STILL won't release hostages.

Personally I would find that fact they have willing and quite publicly supported a modern day version of Hitler undertake a genocide in the world view more disgusting.

The Israeli government make me want to believe hell is an actual place.

What has been allowed to happen in Palestine will go down in History as one of the vilest episodes of modern day history.

However, Israel are not without fault and are getting worse! It’s absolutely right that Palestine is recognised as a country! Have you not seen the starving children on the news?

Croakymccroakyvoice · 21/09/2025 16:56

Antisemitism exists. It would be ridiculous to deny that. However, IRL I haven't come across a single person in my 50 years who has expressed an anti Jewish sentiment (I have seen it online though). I have heard a lot of anti Muslim sentiment though. So I dont think Antisemitism is as widespread as Islamaphobia.

Neither is acceptable IMO.

I don't think I can type what I think about this victim blaming comment here.
On October 8th the IDF was still fighting to regain control.

EsmaCannonball · 21/09/2025 17:23

Not all criticism of Israel is antisemitic but most of it is because Israel is always held to a higher standard, a double standard, its actions always ascribed to malice rather than rationality and never placed in the context of their commonality with the actions of all/most other countries.

And Israel is now dropping bombs on the Middle East! Surely you can see we are heading to WW3! There are no winners in this! And do you know what Israel are doing to women and children?
