Am I alone in seeing this as one of the darkest days in UK history?

Never before did I think I’d end up living under a government who reward terrorism.

Starmer and Labour are grotesque. History will not be kind to them. They have now empowered all terrorists and their supporters.

We deserve such better than this reprehensible government. They disgust me.

Honestly I dont know how anyone couldn't be sickened to their stomachs at the scenes coming out of Gaza. Especially considering the history of displacement and ethnic cleansing Israels ancestors experienced.

World War Two is why we have we have the institutions and agency's in place now that have have stated clearly Isreal is committing genocide in Gaza.

Just because Israel has built its self on the history and sympathy given because of those atrocious acts doesnt mean they arent capable of inflicting the exact same. Which they have and are.

I am disgusted it has taken so long for countries all around the world to call it out for what it is.

If they're being starved, it's by Hamas stealing aid. There are restaurants open in Gaza. There is plenty of food getting through.

Also, in what other war would you expect one side to be providing aid to the other side? It's insane that Israel is somehow supposed to conduct a war with zero casualties, while giving truckloads of aid to the other side. I suppose you think they shouldn't defend themselves at all - just let themselves be hacked to death by genocidal maniacs?

This is the same BBC that used a Hamas member's son to help make a documentary about Gaza, so that strain's their credibility a bit.

What are you talking about - debunked? There were hundreds of videos documenting the depraved attacks on women and children and young people at a music festival. And hundreds of videos of the celebrations when young men rang their mums to tell them how many jews they'd killed.

Are you saying none of that happened? What the hell do you think happened on October 7th then?

The prime minister was very clear about not supporting Hamas. There is nothing anti-semetic about wanting peace for both sides.

I don't think it matters to a lot of the Pro-Israeli herd, but it matters to me, and it should matter to everyone.

As far as I'm aware, any 'partying' was isolated small groups in the UK, at the very most. But like many things, it's gathered it's own believers irrespective of the truth.

If I'm wrong though, I'll be happy to look at press links showing the celebrations.

Israels holding of hundreds maybe thousands of Palestinian prisoners without charge or grow has nothing to do with it?
Israeli annexation of the West Bank has nothing to do with it?

7th of October didn’t happen in a vacuum. There is plenty of blame to go around! On BOTH SIDES! You can argue till the flipping cows come home who is right and wrong if you want. Waste more decades, more innocent lives.

You recognise that both sides have made horrendous choices. Both sides have done terrible things. And people are suffering on both sides. Needlessly! You sit the fuck down and act like decent human beings. Stop playing the victim. Stop lobbing bombs and one another and learn to live alongside one another. I don't understand what your point is. I am literally saying criticism of Israel is not antisemitism.

What I am trying to point out is happening is that when Jews are saying antisemitism is happening, they get thrown back at them that criticism of Israel is not antisemitism. Which is exactly what happened on this thread. I pointed out examples of antisemitism (the comments from the NHS Doctor, the faeces spread on synagogues and a Jewish nursery), this is ignored, and I keep getting the line about criticism of Israel.

I will repeat until I am blue in the face, I don't actually disagree with you on criticism of Israel.

However, when people respond to Jews when they speak about actual incidents of antisemitism (that are NOT criticism of Israel) with the line that criticising Israel is not antisemitism, then yes, that is downplaying and minimising antisemitism.
