Is anyone feeling really cold now after the warm spring & summer we've had?

Just that - weather's been awful here for the last week or so and I've been thinking I'm suddenly feeling really cold! I don't normally feel this cold in the evenings before October and then I put the heating on 😅 Anyone feeling the same??

YABU.

Yes, it feels so chilly. I am not built for cold weather.

DH is, but he has heart probs.
I'm boiling because he clicked the heating on for half an hour 🥵

I'm wearing slippers - and my nose is cold!

I'm enjoying the novelty of it for now, but I've half a mind to check the heating early this year.

Pretty sure I'm peri too (or at least close to) and this whole feeling cold business has really surprised me 😅 missing my favourite indian summer this September.

I'm just shocked I need to dig out my jumpers already and currently browsing knitwear online. I kind of don't want to say goodbye to the lovely warm seasons we had and then get seasonally depressed as usual.

Despite the horrible weather, I haven't felt cold outside, but my house suddenly feels very chilly, so outdoors I'm still in t shirts, but indoors I'm in my brushed cotton pj bottoms, fluffy socks and a hoody.

I’ve put on a wooly jumper and packed away my summer clothes. The heating will be staying off a while longer I hope.

I’m freezing, I hate it already! I have lost 3 and a half stone this year and I think I’m going to be colder this winter🥶 I don’t know how I’m going to keep warm right now but hopefully I’ll acclimatize to it!

We went out this evening and I wore my thermal tights!

I’ve also bought some winter skirts and 2 coats off Vinted this weekend! I’m bedding in for the winter, for sure😂

Well done, that's great! But I agree you'll feel colder if you're in the process of losing weight, time to invest in a new, warm coat!

I am about to bring myself a hot water bottle and changing our duvets to warmer tomorrow!

Also really craving some hot choc! I never do in September. Next step: homemade stew!

What warm spring / summer?
I’m in se where its been windy & cool most of the summer.

Yeah, despite peri (I usually just feel hot at night), I’ve been out with a fleece and a jacket today. That felt nice and warm. I don’t understand how people can sit outside with a t-shirt on. I also dug out all my winter socks from the drawers. I won’t defrost until May now.

Really? It's been great where I live, we all said it was the best spring & summer in years.

Fucking baltic and my washing is taking 5 business days to dry 😡

I spent most of this morning researching dehumidifiers then spent £105 on one which is coming on Monday. I'm hoping that helps with the washing issue but also making it feel slightly warmer without heating for at least another few weeks.

It was a rubbish day here today with rain and strong wind but it's not cold. In fact we've had mixed weather this week with one or two really sunny days.
My living room was 19.5° last night and that's really warm for me - my heating is programmed to come on in the evening when it gets down to 13° so a long way to go .
I've just had insulation work done on my home and I'm interested to see what effect that has on how warm the house is this winter.

Yes! My house thermostat claims it's 20 degrees in here though......

I’ve had to close the bedroom window. I might need the lightweight duvet soon.

Finally cracked and switched on the heating yesterday - it was ten degrees.

I haven't put it on yet tonight, but my hands are cold. I'm wearing three layers.

So does mine - it must be lying!
