So here we are- they have a suspect.
The very little we know about his politics suggests he was likely to be right wing, and came from a family/ culture that supported Trump. He also is said to be an introvert, in to video games , and possibly quite mentally unwell.

So there we have it- fancy that - when you live in a context where people have access to guns and some minority of people are not well, people get shot.

Nothing to do with the evils of the “left”. Nothing to do with trans people or “trans ideology”. Just senseless violence, because people who are not well have access to guns.

So what are we going to take/ learn from this?

The farms have some interesting information about is online contacts, his 'housemate's online contacts and evidence of a possible conspiracy. https://kiwifarms.st/threads/charlie-kirk-aftermath-gravedancing-and-manhunt.228263/page-519#post-22511739

Not for the fainthearted.

thank you for that - the Farms is exceedingly good at doing deep dives into hidden areas of the net. Based on the screen shots they've archived this certainly looks to be a trans related conspiracy.

Is it not political?

Bullets were found inscribed with "catch this, Fascist"

That could also be a groyper meme. It's complicated.

LipglossAlly · 14/09/2025 12:26

People are always looking for the boogy man to scapegoat without necessarily looking inside their communities and trying to tackle issues such as gun violence.
I find it very weird that after this murder took place the main priority seemed to be finding a group of people to demonise rather than having a deep reflection on gun ownership and gun violence in the US.

With regards to the reactions that we saw on the internet, In an age where we all have an online footprint, despite being entitled to freedom of speech, people should be mindful of the legacy they leave behind.

You are the one who's cherry picking because of your beliefs. You are unable to give rational views because of your bias.

What beliefs?

im pretty centerist but it does sound like the accused was more left than right

TruckDiver · 14/09/2025 12:31

Wow. Whatever happened to just waiting for an objective policing and judicial process to find out what it needs to find out? This case so neatly encapsulates what's wrong with people's attitude to information now. Within seconds of learning anything the priority becomes what it means for the position of their "side", not what the reality of it is.

"The first casualty of war is truth" appears to be as true of culture wars as of literal ones.

placemats · 14/09/2025 12:33

LayerCakeOfStrangers · 14/09/2025 12:17

Absolutely. And when you look at the trans activists who have killed or threatened to, it’s not unfair to say they’re a community we need to be protected from. They REALLY don’t like people not affirming their gender

Kiwi Farms is a cesspool of hatred and open extreme right wing bias.

Has he admitted to it officially? As far as I'm aware, at this point he is only accused.

I thought id read that he confessed to his father and his father turned him in.

Not officially as he hasn't been officially charged yet.

yes, he confessed to his father and their pastor. It was the father who contacted the pastor for help in convincing him to turn himself in. In the end the pastor did it.

Kiwi Farms is a cesspool of hatred and open extreme right wing bias.

They have all the receipts, which is the sole reason anyone here is recommending them. There are plenty of fake news merchants posting on that thread as well but they clearly don’t have the receipts themselves to back it up as things stand. So don’t believe everything you read on Reddit/Bluesky/Twitter about this case. If you have a link to Robinson’s social media showing that he was far right by all means share, lots of people would be very interested to see it.

I read that too, but hence the "officially". The point I'm making is that people are talking like he's been officially convicted and he hasn't.

Oh we’re onto conspiracy theories already as to why your personal what I reckon is correct. Good-o.

Kiwifarms is very, very good at providing detailed receipts which lay out the full context of very niche online subcultures and communities. It is literally its "thing".

I definitely trust their take more than a bunch of people who just heard the term "groyper" yesterday.

I am on the centre right. The person who killed Charlie turned out to be exactly who I thought it would be. A weak minded, immature, male liberal. Like all the others who have tried something like this. I probably could have drawn him. Maybe I should be a profiler, or perhaps universities are just churning out these weak men, with low self esteem and a victim complex.

Anyway. Just to go back to the op, this is a false claim. There is nothing that “suggests he was likely to be right wing”. No police comments, no family comments. Nothing. Just a lot of online speculation.

There is evidence, however questionable you find it, that he had a male roommate (some people interviewed by the press have claimed he is a partner) who in some sense considered himself “transgender”. That roommate is allegedly being interviewed and is possibly a suspect/accomplice himself. The online sleuthing community have been busy with what appears to be his social media and have archived lots of these. They know both men were members of a discord server with others, some of whom appear to have posted on public social media at the time Charlie Kirk was murdered suggesting that they may have had prior knowledge. All speculation but I imagine the FBI will be wanting a word with some of these accounts.

I’m sure the picture will become clearer soon, but if you’re not depressed by the state of all of this violence and online desensitisation, whichever side it’s coming from, I don’t know what to say to you.

Okaaaay.

NY Times on page one of this very thread...🙄

Shakeoffyourchains · 14/09/2025 13:15

What I don’t get is why those on the right expect the left not to engage in the same behaviour they do?

The right appear to have no issue with people openly calling for Greta Thunberg to be raped and killed, think it’s fine to laugh at the assassination of Melissa Hortman, or for senior right wing political figures to mock the hammer attack on Paul Pelosi. But the second someone says something about one of their own e.g., Charlie Kirk, they're absolutely outraged.

Why is that? Is it just that they hold the left to a higher standard than? Is it just easier to ignore their own side’s behaviour while demanding purity from everyone else? Or is just that outrage is simply another partisan weapon, used when convenient, and quietly shelved when it doesn’t suit?

You do realise the only “source” for that is a single post from Brooke Singman on X, citing unnamed law enforcement contacts as the source? No actual law enforcement agency has confirmed it.

Strange how a certain poster hasn’t popped up to tell you to “stop spreading fake news as confirmed fact.” Wonder why that is? 🤔
