Charlie Kirk- and the reality

So here we are- they have a suspect.
The very little we know about his politics suggests he was likely to be right wing, and came from a family/ culture that supported Trump. He also is said to be an introvert, in to video games , and possibly quite mentally unwell.

So there we have it- fancy that - when you live in a context where people have access to guns and some minority of people are not well, people get shot.

Nothing to do with the evils of the “left”. Nothing to do with trans people or “trans ideology”. Just senseless violence, because people who are not well have access to guns.

So what are we going to take/ learn from this?

Ok lol

I have literally raised and are raising my kids to spot people like you among the crowd. You are all sweetness and light, holding quiet extremist views and poisoning society by dripping your poison as you go. We see you.

As you say. You are correct. Just quietly going about your business causing no harm at all with your pleasant mainstream views. We can all see that from this thread.

LipglossAlly · 14/09/2025 11:57

The man that murdered CK was apparently a groyper ( basically a far right group led by Nick Fuentes. They did not particularly like CK as the man was seen as too 'moderate' and as being a fake conservative). Go look it up. There is a lot of infighting and a deep division within these far right groups even with regards to their stand on Israel.

This thread would have unfolded differently if the shooter had been black or muslim.

His background and family's political leanings have been established.

Now we are being gaslit into believing he had been radicalised by the far left. This might be the case, but I very much doubt it.

Though, we can be certain of his easy access to a firearm, and his proficiency when using it.

No, we’re being gaslit to believe he’s “far right” when there is no evidence of that. At least acknowledge that you are cherry picking based on what you want to believe too.

No he wasn’t “apparently a groyper” - it’s one theory. All the evidence so far points to him being left leaning. Stop spreading fake news as confirmed fact.

You hold intolerant extremist views that you hide behind fashionable left wing ideologies. You use passive aggressive wide-eyed faux ignorance to bat away accurate interpretations of your posts and continue to pretend to support free speech whilst consistently shutting it down.

You have no interest in seeing the middle ground as you absolutely sure you are correct. I’m sure you would live for be to spend the next hour of my Sunday trawling through your posts online for you to tell me I’m quoting you out of context or misunderstanding you in some way. Sadly you are just another common or garden puppet who parrots the same content all over the socials and are very pleased with how you turned out.

You are the one who's cherry picking because of your beliefs. You are unable to give rational views because of your bias.

LipglossAlly · 14/09/2025 12:12

The earlier people accept that this cold blooded murder was not provoked by the people that a certain political side like to scapegoat the better.
This homicide was facilitated by the environment of hatred and gun culture that we see in the States(I personally found shocking learning that the assassin was introduced to guns at a very young age. Those pictures on his mother's FB were kind of disturbing).

24karatPalamino · 14/09/2025 12:12

I am on the centre right. The person who killed Charlie turned out to be exactly who I thought it would be. A weak minded, immature, male liberal. Like all the others who have tried something like this. I probably could have drawn him. Maybe I should be a profiler, or perhaps universities are just churning out these weak men, with low self esteem and a victim complex.

@Regularmumm me neither. But whatever people's politics just let him rest in peace.....

This isn’t so cut and dry here though is it? I mean usually I’d agree but the guy held himself up as a symbol of gun possession. He actually said he thought a few lives a year were worth the price of being able to carry guns - would you be happy hearing that if you had lost your child or loved one to gun crime? No. So why should anyone be respectful of him or his family now? At most he deserves what he gave anyone who has innocently been killed by a gun nut - a shrug. So I don’t think in this case people are wrong for discussing this

LeaderBee · 14/09/2025 12:13

Tandora · 13/09/2025 20:18

Yes. because the previous were all started from the assumption that this had something to do with left wing political violence and particularly about trans issues. Seems like it’s got nothing to do with that at all.

Is it not political?

Bullets were found inscribed with "catch this, Fascist"

Interesting discussion from a few years ago between CK & a homophobic conservative GOP audience member. From the videos I’ve seen, time and again CK challenges views and highlights the weaknesses of the basis of those views and I think that’s why he was hated by some.

I hold some potentially controversial views but I’m confident in how they’ve been formed and can show my working on how I reached them. If someone thinks I’m wrong, fine. I don’t mind. I will happily engage in a respectful discussion and exchange ideas and challenge their viewpoint while listening to why they disagree with me. If their argument is basically ‘NAZI!!” I’m not going to put much weight on what they’re saying.

I think we’ve lost the ability to have opinions and not expect everyone else to agree with us. Just because I think one thing, I don’t demand 100% allegiance to my doctrine. If someone presents authority for their argument I read it. But i also verify it’s veracity and cross-reference it with other sources.

Unless it’s something along the lines of liking Marmite which is obviously totally wrong.

The fact the far left including transactivists are celebrating his death is deeply worrying, and really finishes the view of the “tolerant left” and “gentle trans people who just wanna pee”.

I think this is a very important point. Whatever the shooter’s actual motive was, there were plenty of people online celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death because they regarded him as a “fascist” or simply disagreed with his views.
That in itself was pretty scary.

Absolutely. And when you look at the trans activists who have killed or threatened to, it’s not unfair to say they’re a community we need to be protected from. They REALLY don’t like people not affirming their gender

'He just sounds like a very confused, messed up young man so far'

Confused

He is an evil, cold blooded murderer.

I for one could not give a rat's ass if he's 'left' or 'right'. He clearly is more than 'very confused'. He is a pyscho.

That was only in relation to his possible political beliefs, if you read the post I was replying to as well. It's the topic of the thread so I don't know why you're having a go at me in particular!

Robinson attended University/College - latter USA for one semester, so at best a fall/Autumn term. He was attending an electrical apprenticeship programme at Dixie Technical College and in his third year.

ThatCyanCat · 14/09/2025 12:21

Has he admitted to it officially? As far as I'm aware, at this point he is only accused.
