Charlie Kirk- and the reality

1000 replies

Tandora · 13/09/2025 20:14

So here we are- they have a suspect.
The very little we know about his politics suggests he was likely to be right wing, and came from a family/ culture that supported Trump. He also is said to be an introvert, in to video games , and possibly quite mentally unwell.

So there we have it- fancy that - when you live in a context where people have access to guns and some minority of people are not well, people get shot.

Nothing to do with the evils of the “left”. Nothing to do with trans people or “trans ideology”. Just senseless violence, because people who are not well have access to guns.

So what are we going to take/ learn from this?

I’m happy to wait until all the information is confirmed officially 😎. I have a feeling the same names on here will suddenly have not much to say about it and start citing mental illness as a contributor.

Lol. Nah. He was a gay man living with a man who identifies as trans and was as left wing as they come.

Had a trans boyfriend, called Charlie a “fascist”, confirmed leftist by friends and family, confirmed leftist by top officials on the record, including the governor.

His family are conseratives. He was not. Very common for kids to rebel against their parents, which is what he did.

"Tyler Robinson, the suspect accused of fatally shooting conservative Charlie Kirk this week, had left-leaning political views, according to Utah Gov. Spencer Cox".

“It’s very clear to us and to the investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” Cox told The Wall Street Journal in an article published Saturday morning."
https: // thehill.com / homenews / state-watch / 5502176-kirk-murder-suspect-leftist-cox-report?

But, let's be honest, the OP and everyone pretending not to know this already knew the terrorist murderer of Charlie Kirk was left leaning as they come.

You won't do this, but if you had an ounce of decency in you, you would ask to have this garbage thread deleted.

But then again, decent people don't try anything and everything to deflect, derail and blame when a man is slaughtered in front of kids. Decent people just keep their gobs shut except to say "sorry a terrorist slaughtered this man".

Just repeating it all again doesn't make it more true.

It's a knee-jerk reaction that Kirk was an extreme conservative nationalist therefore Robinson must be a loony leftie. When the only real evidence - pictures of him posing in America First Pepe gear and America First ironic gaming slogans scratched on the bullets - point distinctly to him being part of the Kirk-hating Nick Fuentes' America First movement that have been disrupting Turning Point meetings for years. There's also been right wing Republican commentator Laura Loomer accusing Kirk of being a traitor for the last few months. In contrast, there's zero evidence his roommate is trans. Branding him as "left-leaning" has gone beyond gossip and has now become flimsy propaganda.

To count the number of 'r's in "raspberry", I will break it down to individual characters:
r (the 1st 'r')
a
s
p
b
e
r (the 2nd 'r')
r (the 3rd 'r')
y
So, in "raspberry", there are 3 'r's.

Aw, someone's fixed that then. It was a useful example of how AIs don't really understand what they're saying. (They still don't btw).

Reports coming out this morning are saying he was far left so I don’t know where you saw far right? This is the issue with the internet people say what they like without knowing anything. Officials are reporting daily.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 14/09/2025 10:07

ColourThief · 14/09/2025 10:06

🙄🥱

Don’t waste your time. They will not accept any current news source. Until the FBI make an official statement then just another far right white male shooting guns. Nothing to see here.

It is absolute bullshit that all , or even most Christians, have the kind of misogynistic, patriarchal and dangerous beliefs about gender roles that Charlie Kirk had / promoted. The fact that you are trying to minimise the inequalities produced by these ideas and promote them as an inevitable consequence of Christian faith is dangerous and baffling to me why someone would attempt this in 2025 Britain,

People are allowed to have views which differ from yours.

I doubt there is any survey which supports your statement "It is absolute bullshit that all , or even most Christians, have the kind of misogynistic, patriarchal and dangerous beliefs about gender roles" - for a start you are using inflammatory descriptions and secondly you do not speak for anyone other than yourself without at least something to support your claim.

CK did not mandate traditional gender roles, he believed that women would be happier in them (home builders he called them? I think) - that's not true for a lot of women obviously, but equally it is true for some women and I don't think there is any evidence to support which side is the majority.

In any case either view is fine to hold and neither are dangerous, get a grip.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 14/09/2025 10:10

Tandora · 14/09/2025 10:02

No I wouldn’t. The kind of dangerous ideas about gender/ gender roles promoted by Kirk are also not mainstream / an inevitable consequence of being a Muslim . The fact that you apparently believe this is simply racialised stereotyping,.

Of course. Of course. Chinny reckon dude.

This is indeed how it works. This is how the “Russian Conspiracy” of how Imane Khelif was just a poor put upon “cis woman” victimised by the evil boxing federation spread. People still parrot this nonsense now on Reddit.

I was thinking of that exact case. Purely coincidentally I had signed up to reddit that week and was amazed to watch that in real time. Any replies I made to say "hang on this seems unlikely " just got me downvoted and banned.

I’m certainly not relying on it. The OP wanted a reputable news source and I gave them (undoubtedly him) a synopsis of what news reports are currently out there. I don’t have a direct line to the FBI which is the only information they (he) will accept currently.

But don’t you see what we are saying?

The synopsis was inaccurate. If FBI had “confirmed” anything you would be able to find the original source, whether it’s a press conference, press release, statement etc. The AI went further than the news reports, taking out all nuance. You cannot rely on AI even for summaries, unless you are content to spread misinformation.

MyHeartyCoralSnail · 14/09/2025 10:12

smallpinecone · 14/09/2025 09:53

I’ve no idea what has been established as fact at this point, I’m not up to date on the latest developments so can’t comment on them.

I mean there has been no confirmation that Robinson is the shooter. He just “reportedly confessed”. I think people are getting confused as to why words like “alleged”, “reported” etc are being confused.

Have people taken leave of their common sense? There is zero evidence that the shooter was right wing. Common sense when looking at the victim, the reports from family and friends and an unnamed law enforcement source as well as public records combined with social media sources indicates nothing other than the shooter was radicalised Left Wing.

Nurseleaver82 · 14/09/2025 10:12

I do feel sorry for his children and it is sad. But I find it odd, that someone that appears to have been relatively unknown in the UK has featured so heavily in the news this week. Also the right wing event in london this weekend. Is it me or does it feel strange that the rise of the right has escalated since Ukraine? It feels like someone is pulling the strings so we're not focusing on what is happening elsewhere. For example Poland this week?? Article 4. Is someone trying to divide ready for what comes next? Am I being silly or paranoid? Xx

You think it’s “fine” to promote/ preach the idea that women should “submit” to their husbands and be confined to a domestic role and financially dependent on their husbands.

With all due respect it is you who needs to get a grip. I am appalled truly. I will not let my daughters grow up in a world where people think this is normal and ok . Especially when domestic violence against women and children is still such a serious problem .
these ideas are no more “fine” and no less dangerous than trying to pretend it would be ok to promote the idea that some ethnicities belong in certain (restricted and servile) social roles, etc.

Give your head a goddam wobble please

Yesterday, there were reports that Robinson was living with his male partner, who was undergoing gender reassignment to live as a woman

right So not reporting this as fact at all, merely referencing the rumours without a source.

Mmm, ok. So those media reports are just reports and nothing has been officially confirmed? Yet here you are starting a whole thread about the “reality” of the suspect being right wing when there’s no suggestion he is at all!

Hypocrisy writ large!

Blueblell · 14/09/2025 10:17

I had never heard of him either but it has thrown up some eye opening issues. The main one is obviously young people being killed for their opinion. Then we have another young person with the skills of a marksman and probably mental health issues and then an Oxford student who had debated with the the deceased who seems to have no concept of compassion or the reality that this person who he happened to disagree with is actually dead in real life not just on social media - leaving behind children.

Well it threw up a name I hadn’t read before. Did it make up the room mate’s name? Apparently the grandfather had confirmed part of the story but said they have currently ceased contact.

You might want to throw the baby out with the bath water and yet the synopsis may just turn out to be the accurate information. As you said yourself we don’t know anything for sure yet.

I think it's "fine" that women should do what THEY want, not what someone on SM thinks they want. DV is a separate issue, stop being hysterical.

Wow - I'm dangerous, fancy believing people can choose.

Trans violence? What is trans violence?

Actual or threatened violence carried out in the defense of transgender ideology.

But it is not saying that the FBI confirmed anything in an official press statements. It is clear that this is a law enforcement source. This is the way journalists get information before official statements.

Journalists have sought information which backs this up, information from family/friends/public records and social media

It’s right to be cynical when the news sources have already put out lies they claim to have been told by alleged “law enforcement” sources.

A law enforcement source told the Wall Street Journal that the bullets found had pro trans ideology engraved on them. This was confirmed to be false when the Utah Governor read out the bullet engravings at the recent press conference.

Engage your brain please. Mud sticks and the truth won’t matter if people already believe the lies told when the news was hot. You need to realise that you are being manipulated and American law enforcement is as corrupt as they come. Read the book “Just Mercy” if you want to get an idea of the lengths the American justice system will go to prevent justice if the truth doesn’t serve their agenda.

Both sides have caused this - there is no respecting of another view point anymore it has just become right and wrong, you pick a side and that is it the other side are evil and wrong.

so imagine then someone whose sexuality/gender/beliefs don’t align with the family is going to feel and to what lengths that might make them go to.

Politics never used to work in the extreme minor differences of opinions were such that people would work together

but now both sides are moving further and further away from each other and this is going to happen

That might be your standard of research but please don’t come on here and use AI as a source and expect it to be accepted.
