Ours works out as around £55-60 a month extra after tax, I know it's better than nothing but bills, mortgage , transport etc. Will outweigh it..
Anyone else?

Civil service so again, below inflation is expected.
Getting pretty sick of it to be honest.

SunnyDolly · 08/09/2025 16:37

Ours is always in Jan but this year it was a 1.5% payrise and expecting the same again. Utility increases more than immediately swallowed it up!

RedPony1 · 08/09/2025 16:38

We get pay rises every January, normally 3-5%

Fgfgfg · 08/09/2025 16:38

1.4%

GonnaeNoDaeThatJustGonnaeNo · 08/09/2025 16:39

got a 1% rise in January

ThirdStorm · 08/09/2025 16:39

No. Sadly my company is struggling a bit so I'm just pleased to have a job.

TheKeatingFive · 08/09/2025 16:40

Private sector, haven't had one for two years and unlikely to get one this year.

Spacecowboys · 08/09/2025 16:41

3.6% , nhs. Most of it went on tax and pension arrears.

BatOrange · 08/09/2025 16:48

No, mine is a university and they are laying people off left, right and centre. I’m trying to be grateful to have a job but it really is the pits.

chuzzlewitthechipmunk · 08/09/2025 16:58

Civil service. Who knows what I’ll get when it gets approved and if the unions agree to it.

there’s no money.

IsItSummerSoon · 08/09/2025 16:59

2.3% Which isn’t a lot but I’m delighted to be getting something at all.

Wishitsnows · 08/09/2025 17:06

Unlikely as in private sector. Will be below inflation if anything.

OdisseanQueen · 08/09/2025 17:07

5%. I'm leaving soon, so I won't really notice it.

Goldpanther · 08/09/2025 17:07

2.2% pay rise in private sector.

I'm grateful to get something.

Merryoldgoat · 08/09/2025 17:07

3.5% from September.

popcornandpotatoes · 08/09/2025 17:08

Local government, we got 3.2%

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 08/09/2025 17:10

1% in the private sector- banking. So no really

Dweetfidilove · 08/09/2025 17:10

3.2% and I get it paid this month.
As it's backdated to April, that likely wipes out October's UC- whoopee doo!

I also had an email today from my energy company to say my bill is increasing; my car insurance goes up next month... You can see where I'm going with this ☹️.

Same. In fact definitely not getting one this year.

It's tough.

4catsaremylife · 08/09/2025 17:13

Just handed my resignation in after 3 years working for employers. No pay rise since 2022, I am earning barely more than minimum wage now.
I'm almost 63 and a single parent to 2 ASD adults so had to make a change.

YanTanTetheraPetheraBumfitt · 08/09/2025 17:19

Been offered a 1.4% below inflation pay rise. Same as the last few years. Union are talking about strikes.

OldMaaa · 08/09/2025 17:21

I got 3.5% in April. Private sector.

GonnaeNoDaeThatJustGonnaeNo · 08/09/2025 17:26

It’s really only the public sector that get pay rises.

FancyCatSlave · 08/09/2025 17:27

1.4%, it’s insulting

Evilwasp2 · 08/09/2025 17:29

It's a joke isn't it.
