Why did I promise a K-Pop Demon Hunters party

Makemakee · 07/09/2025 09:05

My daughter is turning 9 in a couple of weeks and I have promised her a k-pop demon hunter theme party with a few close friends at home. Now I’m wondering what the hell I’m going to do for it!!!

I have body pens and hair glitter and noodle pots from the film plus the soundtrack. As the film is so new there’s very little online and I’m stuck for ideas, plus any merch takes weeks to get here. I was thinking of doing a demon hunter quest, quiz and games of some kind but don’t know where to start. Anyone have any ideas!

I know I shouldn’t have promised this without planning it first :-/

Any ideas what I can do?

You may want to check the term ‘umbrage’ and worry less about what I think.

Please stop derailing the thread. I’ve asked a number of times.

Dozer · 07/09/2025 12:43

There are some posts on instagram of DCs’ parties with this theme, you’ll probably be able to get ideas from there and Pinterest

8 is pretty young to have watched this film. Have her friends seen it?

My 8 year old grandson loves it. Unfortunately some of the music becomes an earworm.

This might not be a cool idea (I'm rather old !!) but you can get demon humnter colouring books on Amazon, you could print out pages from one and give them all a few colouring sheets in their party bags (or have them out for anyone who gets exhausted form non stop dancing!)
There's also a dictionary of Korean slang for kpop fans - you could print out some of the words in big letters in speech bubbles for decorations (assuming they aren't rude words)

Did this need an answer? I think we’re both guilty of derailing.

My year 3 class have pretty much all seen it and they are all pretty much 7.

I’ve been answering questions from other posters, saying it’s not the purpose of the thread and then defending myself against your ridiculous offence over something I’ve personally experienced in my own life. So no, not really. Again, please stop derailing.

Etsy has lots of K pop demon hunter party banners, party favours, cupcake toppers and friendship bracelets.

You’ve not been defending yourself. You are just as guilty as derailing.

Like you said you have other people commenting on your post and not agreeing with your point. I’ll leave you with them.

Just googled iit, as i have a just turned 20 year old ds who's a rocker so no k pop fans /kids here! Interestingly though it's recommended for ages 10 up which is surprising becsuse everyone on this thread has let children way under that age watch it.

I have that KPop slang dictionary. Definitely NOT suitable 😄

Can you not just pop the film on and let them watch that with snacks/pizza?! 🙈

This is all you need to do.

chipshopElvis · 07/09/2025 13:38

What you've planned sounds good. Decorating cup cakes is good at that age, give them some icing and loads of sweets to put on it and let them watch the film, they'll probably just sin along/mess around in it.

Ooohjustalittlebit · 07/09/2025 09:18

Maybe check with the parents whether their kids have seen it, I know at our school the 10 year olds have all seen it but nobody younger than that.

If the parents are ok with them seeing the film, there is a Netflix “sing along” version of it so they could watch that version and sing the songs? You could see if you can get those karaoke microphones.

How would you actually KNOW that though? Did you stand at the gate and do a poll or something 😂

Get a poster or print pic of Rumi off and get a big purple plait. Its a game of pin the plait on rumi!
stick stickers of Sara boys on a fizzy drink can for soda pop
get some Korean snacks in like shrimp corn crisps
get them to make chocolate sushi, melt marshmallows, combine with rice crispies (and additional sweets or chocolate if you like) harden in a baking tray, cut in strips, spread melted chocolate on top and roll up!

dontcomeatme · 07/09/2025 14:12

HRTWT but deffo get a mic and do demon hunter karaoke. Also get some purple and pink fake hair and braid it through their hairs ?
Face diamontes, glitter tattoos. If you know someone who makes the printed on Tees I would get some little white ones with a kpop image on the front, maybe even the kids names x

Dairymilkisminging · 07/09/2025 14:30

There's quizzes on YouTube for it too. Colouring in pages you can print out?
