Never tried R&R ice cream, but love walnuts in carrot cake, or any cake really.

When I was a child my parents used to go to a Whist Drive every week and the booby prize (person with lowest score at the end of the evening) was always a bar of Old Jamaica.

Before I was old enough to be left at home on my own I used to go with them and just help serve the teas, fold the raffle tickets etc. but I was always hoping one of them would come last so they got the chocolate!

Sadly for me they were both quite good players and were more likely to come first and win something boring like several rashers of bacon and half a dozen eggs. (Yes that really was the star prize!)

Rum&Raisin choc ices from the local offy (off-licence) in the 80's 😋 I think they were about 7p and I interspersed them with mint ones.

I love it! I make it too and it's a family favourite....along with rum & raisin cheesecake.

It's not my absolute absolute favourite on its own, but it is really amazingly good (and arguably the best ice cream to serve) with dark chocolate, with brownies (especially with walnuts), and/or with pecan pie.

My dad likes it.

Oh my god it’s my favourite flavour and I had absolutely no idea people felt it was attention seeker…..

I love rum, like raisins, like ice cream, so yes, I genuinely like Rum & Raisin Ice Cream.

Raisin & Biscuit Yorkie is also by far the best Yorkie, and Fruit Club beats the crap out of any of the other varieties.

I'm kind of with you; it's the texture of the raisins.

Bizarrely, I have a major weakness for Rum and Raisin Ritter Sport. It's so rummy! Although to be fair, it's hard to find ANY Ritter Sport bar that disappoints.

Walnuts are never bad... get them in the carrot cakes I say.

To be fair, I never thought this. I just found it odd that people could cope with the texture of the raisins.

It was my 2nd favourite flavour as a child in the 80’s! First was mint chocolate chip. Now it’s good old vanilla. It’s not a sign of anything 😆
