To ask why you chose your username?

I love seeing people’s usernames so was just curious really.

I’ve had loads of changes in my time here and just come back after a long time off. Some of mine have been LOTR (my favourite film) related, some random, others more personal. I usually pick something really quickly when I change it and change every few threads or so.

I remember some posters who never seemed to change, so you always knew who they were but I haven’t seen them post since I’ve been back.

I’m named after a mysterious Roma singer from a film. I can’t sing, I’m not Roma and I am too ordinary to be mysterious but I liked the film, so here we are!

Present one - I wanted to change it quickly as I'd posted something a little outing under the previous one, and thought 'I'll use a line from whatever plays next on the radio' and it happened to be 'Eye of the Tiger'. I don't usually keep my usernames very long.

Its my catchphrase "I've done what I can do"
I say it all the time usually when I'm sorting someone else's mess out and I've given up, throwing my arms in the air at the same time whilst eye rolling.
Dp usually beats me to it with "I know, I know, you've done what you can do" 😂

The first part is a reference to J S Bach's Well Tempered Clavier. The second part gets changed from time to time and is currently based on a tweet by Juno Dawson about ‘a few very determined transphobes [who] have crawled their way to the heart of the law like maggots in an apple'.

People who know me don't think I'm ill-tempered, but that's because they're not privy to the torrent of vile invective and foul language that constitutes my inner monologue.

I watch Korean dramas and, in the subtitles, older characters often call younger ones who don't toe the line punks or brats. It got me thinking of a Sharks and Jets/West Side Story scenario 😄

Mine is the name of one of my favourite songs, King's Lead Hat by Brian Eno.

I name change a lot. This one is a line from a Noah Kahan song which I love.

Mine is in homage to a famous pig that I once knew. She starred in a BBC drama (as you do...).

It’s a saying from my favourite comedy show and if your Scottish you will know it.

My daughter used to sing ‘owl be there for yooooo’ when she was singing along to the friends theme song when she was little. It became a bit of an inside joke where we’d all say ‘owl be home soon’ or whatever.
