I’m named after a film that was released in the late 60s. At secondary school one of my best friends was also named after a different character in the same film.
My mum had wanted to call me Truly Scrumptious from Chitty chitty bang bang. Luckily my dad vetoed that.

My eldest is not named from an iconic TV series in the early 90s but a lot of her friends are. Ironically it has turned out to be her favourite tv thing ever- to the point of honeymooning where it is set!

My sil was named after a character in Peyton place.

My daughter was named after a character n a book.

My son is named after a famous Canadian rock star of the 70s who is still touring these days. He's a political activist too and a bit of a grumpy old man. My son is very similar 😂

Definitely. My ex and I were at his concert in Glasgow in the early-ish 70s- but not with each other!

i’m a huge history nerd so my girls are named after georgiana cavendish & emmeline pankhurst. both famous in their time!

This might be a totally innocent thread but have spotted two other threads today (different user names) asking for info like ‘to ask how you picked your username’. These are common tactics for phishers l/ low grade hackers as it typically tends to be the same sort of people who reply.

Like I said, might be totally innocent but given lots of people use their kids’ names for passwords…
