What time is acceptable to start mowing the lawn? Mine desperately needs to be done and was thinking 8am will be fine?

I wouldn't take lack of actual complaints as proof nobody has been annoyed by it tbh.

I live in a mid terrace with HMOs on both sides. Occupants are shift workers, nurses, doctors on rotation etc etc (live opp hospital). They aren't particularly noisy but there are doors going 24 /7 + in the summer, they all sit outside till all hours. During the summer, end terrace & other houses in my part of the street hold bbqs which go on till all hours. I don't mind, it's the sound of people living their lives. I don't moan about them. I need to get my grass cut & due to surgeries in the last 12 months, I can't do it myself so we all have to live with my son coming round early to fit it in before he goes to bed. He does 6 nights a week + holiday cover which is 6 x 12 hour shifts, proper manual work & a two mile walk to my house. I would not like to be the person who tells him he's got to fit this round someone else's shift patterns. He'd like to do it as soon as he gets here but waits until after 8 out of consideration. It's not even every week, my garden isn't open to the public 😀

We had a builder here at 830 this morning loud power tools as he is doing his own property renovations and on his roof. Considering he and his colleagues are here mon to sat 8 till 7pm. He was here last bank hols too. Seems to think as he is doing it himself its acceptable. He's already put up his front dormer without planning so why I am not surprised with it. The noise is horrendous. We are one house away.

People just have zero lack of consideration towards others since covid.

If you think its reasonable to make noise outside at 8am then you have no reason to complain when your neighbours make noise OUTSIDE late at night.
Im a night owl I cant change no matter how many early jobs I have. The whole world revolves around Larks and we are made to feel wrong that our body clock is exhausted after 3cups of coffee and its still only 9am.
Its the summer holidays and a Saturday- dont be selfish.

Totally agree

8am? If you were my neighbour, I'd be hiring a sniper.
