I’ll start by saying I know this isn’t Tattle Life, but I’ve just caught up on instagram and Britney’s latest posts are truly horrifying and upsetting. As someone who grew up with her (& Christina) as my idols it’s so saddening to see what’s happened.

Has anyone else watched?

#freebritney going well?

Amazing that leaving decisions on the well-being of someone, with serious mental health and addiction issues, to a mob of people on Twitter, loosely informed by Netflix, and armchair experts, could lead to a tragic situation.

Who could have predicted it ?

Pomped · 19/08/2025 14:27

I know. I feel she’s been a victim in so many fashions. I just find it very distressing to watch someone unravel like this

I haven't really seen what she's up to now but feel sorry for someone in the public eye since very young and being so manipulated

Profhilodisaster · 19/08/2025 14:29

She's been posting weird dances on social media for quite a while, they often appear on my timeline. She really needs someone to look after her.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 19/08/2025 14:31

Oh no - what’s she doing? Don’t really want to look, poor Britney

elm26 · 19/08/2025 14:32

I feel really sad for her every time I see a video she posts that pops up on my feed. Such a talented woman ruined by greedy parents and spongers since she was a young teenager.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 19/08/2025 14:32

Yanbu 🥺

CrispySquid · 19/08/2025 14:34

Yeah her Instagram has been very uncomfortable viewing for the last few years. Very upsetting. She’s clearly in need of some help. That conservatorship was in place for a reason. She needed that safeguarding.

SitOnHisFaceIfHeDiesHeDies · 19/08/2025 14:36

What's she done now?

DaisyChain505 · 19/08/2025 14:36

I think she’s damaged beyond repair and it’s really sad to see.

Profhilodisaster · 19/08/2025 14:59

The thing that I don't get is she must have someone that knows or cares about her, why aren't they stepping in?

The conservatorship could be toxic and abusive AND she could have needed a valid, protective one. Both can be true.

Agree with you 100%

Exactly this. Social media is so stupid. It was obvious she was a very unwell woman.

Chickenbone123 · 19/08/2025 15:24

Seriously though think about it? She needs a conservatorship because she posts cringe vids on insta?!

This is no different to half of tiktok

Bambamhoohoo · 19/08/2025 15:25

She’s been like this for many years. I think the best thing the public could do is hope she can be as well as she can be within in the likely confines of an irrecoverable mental illness, rather than
expecting some big recovery.

I think it's a bit more than cringe, it's honestly scary. She looks possessed.

Bambamhoohoo · 19/08/2025 15:27

What makes you think she needs the protection of a conservatorship- because she stays in the house all day and occasionally posts weird instas?!

Yeah I agree. It’s bloody weird and I don’t like watching it. But really what’s weird about it is that it’s Britney. The icon of the 90s.

I scroll past various people doing similar everyday on tiktok and don’t blink an eyelid.

I think in the modern age everyone thinks that problems and health issues can just be fixed and finished. Many of us live with long term issues that are jut managed and tolerated.

I see it on here with random comments about going to the doctor, asking for this or that referral, going to 'therapy' as if people are fixable. Sometimes they are and sometimes they;re not.

chiffontalks · 19/08/2025 15:31

She's also reportedly on drugs, allegedly consumes them together with her son. If you watch closely, there's no joy or light in her eyes. She's a broken woman. Very sad.

Stepping in and doing what?

I find comments like this really quite annoying. None of us have a clue what the people in her life are doing to try and protect her but it’s probably a fuck load more than you’ll ever know.
Helping someone with MH issues, addictions, whatever is not just as simple as “stepping in”.

The videos she posts will not even be one of the main reasons she was granted a (poor) conservatorship, it just adds context. It’s not something the courts take lightly at all and will be on the advice of doctors and family members. It will be to do with many things off camera, her private life, her personal life and her mental decline. She’s been under a conservatorship for almost 2 decades now - this well preceded her Instagram videos. I remember when she lost custody of her children to K-Fed who is a complete loser. There must have been a lot of serious stuff going on if he was the better alternative to her back then.

its also completely unrealistic- who “steps”
into a what, 40 year old woman’s life and tells her what she can and can’t do?!?
