Foodbank - 3 cars

Am I being unreasonable to think a family with 2 cars and a big fancy house shouldn't be using foodbanks regularly? No disability issues.

But surely not being able to feed your kids is the last resort. I mean that's the most basic thing isn't it - putting food on the table. If I couldn't do that and lived in a 'big fancy house' then I would be downsizing asap.

And who says their house hasn't been sold or isn't on the market? It's not like you get the money overnight.& you're more likely to be short of money if moving. Or maybe there's nothing suitable to move to & keep the kids at their schools?

maybe they have fuck all equity in the house & can't risk trying to remortgage.

maybe they need the cars to get to work? We don't all live on good public transport routes.

maybe they're scraping by, paying the bills because they're getting some food from the food bank??

we have a community pantry & another food service in the village (as well as the food banks), they regularly throw food away, I'd happily get some mushapen veg & reduce wastage. But feel far too self conscious to do so when I don't 'need' to.

Yanbu

Sil has a new Audi, and a £1000 cockapoo and uses the food bank.

Shameful

Or maybe they are just plain old freeloaders
