About Gender neutral loo

1000 replies

paulhollywoodshairgel · 14/08/2025 18:59

I was in a museum today and my daughter (15) left me to go to the loo. She then waved me over.. she said to me.. I’d rather not use the gender neutral loo. I said that’s fine and sent her down a level to the ladies. A woman the approached me and preceded to tell me off for not encouraging my daughter to use the GN loo. How she has a trans child and how are they ever going to feel accepted with people like me around. I’m ND and I always second guess myself 10000 times a day. I wasn’t in the wrong was I?? I just said ok go and use the other separate loo. Surely my child can pee wherever she feels comfortable??!! I hate conflict so I just said ok and walked off!

These are all great examples, including the one in the coffee shop which goes to show you're as much at risk in a single mixed sex cubicle as a row of them. I wonder who made that point earlier....

Interesting that all of these are either in single sex toilets or places where a mixed sex toilet wouldn't have caused any controversy (ie an office or Starbucks).

They were ransom per google picks.

With a wide range of men from of known Sex Offender to nice, respectable, professional, etc men who tanked their careers lives and likely familys to obtain material to masturbate to.

And in a lot of the cases the victim will have worked along side the Offender daily asked about their weekend and family etc never suspecting that the person the victim believed they knew was nothing like they imagained.

Tandora · 15/08/2025 16:27

There must be more to this story , I can’t think of any parent of a trans child who would do this or fathom any reason why they would. There’s something very wrong here.

Oh look it's everyone's favourite interrupteron! 🙄

Jinx! 😂

I tried to attach it to that first post above, but apparently c&p from another post doesn't work, you've got to save and then upload the image. Learned something new today, that's always a bonus!

Of course your daughter can chose to use a ladies only loo, but tbh if the gender neutral loo has self-contained cubicles I don’t really see what the issue is. A lot of cafes, restaurants etc, particularly small ones only have one loo. The women who approached you was out of order though.

But those loo’s are always self contained.
completely different to be entering an enclosed room with mutliple cubicles off that enclosed room with sinks in the central area.

CohensDiamondTeeth · 15/08/2025 17:26

Oh dear it seems the TRAs have found a sparkly unicorn that they don't like 😂

The posts removed had an image of a worried looking unicorn holding a sign which said "Do not engage with the interrupteron", for anyone confused by this it's from the Sandi Peggie NHS Fife tribunal threads. A tongue in cheek reminder to not let Tandora distract us from the discussion while the tribunal was live.

Instead a thread was set up for Tandora to have their say, it ran for two whole threads and was quite popular.

No one here is actually in any seriousness attempting to shut down discussion by using that picture.

As shown by the threads set up for Tandora to give us their opinion (which we have heard in abundance over the years), and to allow Tandora to show the evidence they keep telling us exists to back up the claims made (we're all still waiting, no evidence has been forthcoming dispite repeated appeals for something... anything!), we quite like a robust discussion even if we don't want to discuss other things during a live tribunal in a thread where we are discussing what is happening in said tribunal in real time.

I still find the interrupteron unicorn cute and funny every time I see it, even if the TRAs don't 😂

Whatever it was has been deleted for breaking guidelines.

And don't give us that faux naive "whatever it was", you know what it was you saw it. It was a totally inoffensive image of a worried unicorn holding up a sign which reads "do not engage with the interruptaron" - is it against talk guidelines, perhaps, but it was hardly crime or offense of the centaury.

However I see what you're doing, pretend you don't know what it was but imply that it was terribly bad because obviously it broke guidelines and was removed, giving the impression that the removed posts were something other than what they were. Silly and a bit rude at worst.

jeaux90 · 15/08/2025 17:31

Your DDs boundaries are not up for public debate. Good for her for standing up for herself and her boundaries.

Women and girls are not human support machines for people performing “gender” stereotypes.

And all this Be Kind nonsense is just middle class for STFU and do as you are told.

@BoredZelda

I am bored of the argument that bad men will commit crimes whatever our boundaries are, the point is good men stay out so bad men stand out. Single sex spaces are so so important.

NeverOneBiscuit · 15/08/2025 17:40

If women, or men, are happy to use mixed sex toilets that’s great, use them.

However, many women want to use single sex toilets. And the great thing is we don’t have to explain why. That ship has sailed. The reasons for single sex toilets were outlined and understood when women were fighting for them.

Now we have them, & the SC ruling has clarified that they were always only for biological women.

Actually I didn’t see it, but thanks for letting me know.
I think it’s bizarre how you seem to regard other people saying things you don’t agree with as “an interruption”.

And,yeh, it’s against guidelines.

Sure Jan GIF

Well now you, and other's who actually might not have seen now know what the removed picture was, a silly cartoon image of a unicorn holding up a sign saying "do not engage with the interrupteron". It may be considered a bit rude to post that image, and against talk guidelines possibly for goading, but it wasn't anything awful or offensive.

It was even used earlier in this very thread without deletion. It's purely a coincidence that the cute unicorn has been reported and removed now Tandora has arrived I'm sure!

And no @Tandora it's not for people who disagree with me (and only me? ok then!), it's for people who have form for bad faith discussion on this topic. In fact more accurately it was made for you in the Sandie Peggie threads, but it works just as well for other bad faith posters too.

If it weren’t against guidelines it wouldn’t have been deleted for breaking guidelines.

Except the only reason you think I’m a “bad faith” poster is because I disagree with you 🤷🏼‍♀️

NeverOneBiscuit · 15/08/2025 17:56

To my knowledge, the interrupting unicorn image was actually made on a thread where Tandora was being, well, Tandora.

I’ve never seen it deleted before.

It’s actually very useful to stop repeated circular arguments, or bad faith posters.

About Gender neutral loo
CohensDiamondTeeth · 15/08/2025 17:57

Tandora is only a fan of the guidelines when they are in Tandora's favour.

Tandora doesn't like the fact that they have had many deletions for breaking guidelines with far more offensive things. Such as calling women who want single sex spaces and the upholding of their legal protections fascists for example.

Cute and silly unicorns aren't even in the same league as some of what's been said to us from certain posters over the years.
