Many years ago Marks & Spencer sold a cheese and apple sandwich. It was grated cheese mixed with some kind of mayonnaise and with chunks of apple. It was amazing. Then it stopped and it never returned.

Would I be unreasonable to email their head office to ask for them to reintroduce it?

In my branch we can still buy the cheese and celery sandwich - which is indeed delicious

Burtons Potato Puffs were a staple of my childhood.

That cheese and celery sandwich IS NOT THE SAME as the old one, which was delicious.
The nearest I once came to it was primula cheese spread with herbs in it ( I think it had herbs) grated cheese and a nice peppery celery.

I could do with some Tyrozets, antibiotic ( tiny amount) throat lozenges.

Yes!!! Moo choos or moo chews! I absolutely loved these and even sent an email asking for them to please make them again. I've been saying this for years and no one else knows what im talking about!!!

Fairy Household Soap (the big green one) and Fairy Snow washing powder. The scent was incredibly good - the essence of clean. My mum used Fairy Snow and clothes smelled beautiful, I've never come across that clean scent since.

The modern Fairy washing powder/liquid and Fairy conditioner smell nothing like it, I find them quite sickly sweet.

M&s custard doughnuts were amazing.

M&S lean ham brown roll with pineapple and I think a pepper mayo. I loved it and it’s never come back 😞
Waitrose do an acceptable Cheese&Celery but it’s not as good as M&S’s.

I’m sure there used to be a chocolate bar like a toffee crisp but with raisins- they should get that back pronto.

Bernard Matthews Cheese Hamwich - yes they are still around but they changed from a triangle of reconstituted ham flavoured turkey with very cheesey processed cheese on top, wrapped in breadcrumbs, to a triangle of reconstituted ham flavoured turkey mush, with snippets of cheesey stuff mixed in... wrapped in breadcrumbs.. and are now disgusting. I mean the original thing was pretty vile but they were... moreish ... The replacements are just vomitworthy.

Turkey twizzlers, whatever was in that saucey coating, I need it back in my life.

Niknaks Cheese flavour. Cheetos crunchy are a close second but they're not as 'sweaty feet' cheese as the Niknaks were.

Pacers - chewy mints, last seen in the mid 80s.

Creamola Foam. Small tin of some kind of crystals. You added a teaspoonful to a glass of water to make a drink.

M&S Potato Deltas. Triangular shaped cross between a crisp and a cheesy biscuit. No other similar biscuit comes close.

Vidal Sassoon almond scented shampoo. Came in a dark red bottle.
M&S mini chocolate cakes with half a walnut on which they sold in the 60s.

M&S are bringing back a chicken tikka sandwich in the old St Micheals packaging. If you look at their insta page loads of people are requesting the cheese and apple one do you never know!

Another M&S sandwich - tuna melt. It was a tuna sandwich with a cheesy topping. 25 years later I still look out for it in case they’ve brought it back. There was also a beef and onion sandwich on onion bread that I loved.

@blackbunny I had one recently cos the vegetarian options in M & S are not great.

@PennyRest Wow.... I honestly started to think I had dreamed the ham and pineapple roll from M&S.

The other thing I have never forgiven them for was the jam filled YumYum... got them twice... never stocked them again. They were illegal levels of delicious. Probably a good thing tbh but... ugh, they get you hooked on something then STOP!
