To think we need more programmes like The Littlest Hobo

Dont you think that bringing back The Littlest Hobo, Happy Days and The Wonder Years etc (but only in their original ways, no modern interpretations) would help heal the world? Just some wholesome, family escapism (even if you you cry a bit when the dog keeps moving on).

I loved the Littlest Hobo, growing up in Canada it was on every day at odd times. I desperately wanted a dog like Hobo.

When I watch it now it is just so, so Canadian, that's nostalgic for me too.

Happy Days I didn't love as much but I did want to be cool like the Fonz when I grew up. I always pictured myself in a leather jacket with two bimbo girlfriends and a motorcycle. Growing up as a straight girl required some adjustment to my thinking.

The tv from the 70s and 80s does in some ways seem a lot simpler. Even the hard hitting stuff.

Don’t think you can call homeless people hobos anymore

No, it's odd though, it's not like it's a rude word or anything. It doesn't have any worse connotations than "homeless person" or the now prefered "unhoused person".

But a lot of the language policing is like that.

Why can't there be a TV channel for programmes like this?

If you have sky there's a channel called great TV, father dowling, diagnosis murder, little house, highway to heaven, murder she wrote, mash , Randall and hopkirk all that sort of stuff . Otherwise you tube is probably the best place to get older shows

I loved the cartoon where a group of children got stuck in an alternative universe on a fairground ride. Dungeons and Dragons possibly? I think the ending was that they could either go home or stay and help someone in the alternative universe. They chose to stay obviously.

Also, Nightmare was the best ever game show and I wont have any arguments on that.

School programme wise, it was The Dark Castle. I can still remember sitting in the smoky staff room with the wheel out tv wishing that the magic pencil would hurry up so we could watch The Dark Castle. Couldn't tell you what it was about now mind. Maybe a castle that was dark?

I also have had a crush on Scott Bakula. Oh boy!

There was no end to the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon... So a fan group produced their own final episode.
