I couldn’t sleep last night, worrying about a Reform government

I am really worried. I think they’ll wreck the economy. I’ve got a few years left to pay off my mortgage from my job that deals with immigrants. I don’t want our pensions to tank. I don’t want my sons’ lives to be messed around. I worry about more racism, the more ‘voice’ that Reform get. I live in a very multicultural city and non-white people tell me that they are experiencing more overt racism. It makes me feel very insecure about the future.

wish Labour would do more to show that they are on the side of ordinary people as I think that’s what is driving this (I’m a Labour voter). I don’t think the creation of Your Party will help, just give Reform more advantages.

Sigh. Happy to be told I’m unreasonable as I think the future looks bleak.

Interesting to see Yaxley-Lennon has joined Advance UK. He calls Farage "the establishment".

I wonder if any of the Yaxley-Lennon loving contingent of Reformites will follow his lead and desert their far right party for a far-far right one.

Well that you could tell a Reform voter just by looking at them for starters? That was you wasn’t it?

Well spun there, I looked back through the thread as seemingly posters who are huge hypocrits cannot take what they dish out and can seen that I posted about seeing and hearing. The two are needed together, banging on about migrants is a good indication. Sometimes you have one without the other so the nonsense people are spouting plus the aggrieved victimhood status that they tell the world about, is a big give away.

That you can spot one just by looking, is 1 example. Replace Reform voter with something like Jew in your sentence and you see the issue?

Don't be ridiculous, you are just being insulting now!

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 02/08/2025 14:50

@twistyizzy didn't extrapolate your prejudice and ascribe it to other people at all. It's quite the leap.

What are you on about, they have literally littered this thread and the whole site with slights and insults about Labour Supporters! The irony is I didn't vote for Labour in the last election?

Edited

Well maybe that's a good thing, I should add IMO so that nobody is offended, splitting the party wil diminish its leverage.

I've said that Labour supporters have become part of the machinery that has fuelled reform success by framing concerns around immigration as the ravings of racist lunatics. That isn't an insult, that's just true.

You can see you do this re other voters though?

I disagree, people need to take responsibility for themselves and inform themselves of who they are voting for.

If you mean tell people to wake up and smell the coffee, yes absolutely! People really need to state taking responsibility for themselves and have a sense of duty this includes when it comes to how you use your vote.

No I am using your words and replacing the name of the recipient.
You are bigoted, and not about Reform voters. You just can't/won't see it.

And how's that strategy panning out for you? Have you managed to insult anyone away from Reform yet?

By that though you only mean that people have to vote the way you want them to! 🙄

All of it, it’s just (to use a phrase I actually hate but can’t think of another) - word salad.

Southern25 · 02/08/2025 15:19

The migration cross has nothing to do with us leaving the EU. They come across from all over Europe to get here. They cross many EU countries to get here.
We would have the same problems if we hadn’t left.

Why would it be strategic, I don't work for the Labour party, I'm a voter like you(?) I'm not obligated to persuade anyone of anything, I'm saying don't do it, I'm answering the thread title as a Mumsnetter just like you.

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 02/08/2025 15:21

So, you're just shouting insults at the wind then? 😂

Of course. As other EU countries still are. Look at Greece rn.

Well I can't really help you with your comprehension skills, this is a problem you will have to solve yourself.

Sadly I have lowered myself to the depths of others on this thread i.e. the big Reform Hustlers amongst us

It’s nothing to do with my comprehension. If my daughter (15) wrote this in a school essay it would get a red underlining.

I still don't know what you are on about, you are too sparse with your posts, use a few more words EasternStandard.
