Wtaf, there was someone walking around Sainsbury’s smoking a joint!

This is in a very naice area!! Literally this fella doing his shopping smoking a bloody joint, stinking the store out!! Skeleton staff.

i really wanted to say something but had the feeling he’d tell me to fuck off.

Does this happen in other areas?! Or this a first (am I being naive here?!).

I’ve seen plenty of grab and run shop lifters who literally take the train in - shop lift- then run back on to a train - it’s very close!

it was about 8pm so they were stacking the shelves and no tills open just the scanner - maybe one till open further down - this is in the Midlands. I cannot believe this - even my mum who is visiting we are from a pretty poor northern town and have seen some sights in our time!! But we were shocked.

We spotted him heading towards the till to pay with his basket or the self checkout / he looked ‘normal’ but I dunno he looked quite sinister too.

@SummerEvei was genuinely surprised, my mum was really shocked as she’s up until recently worked in retail. We just walked away from him, I mean I dunno I feel like I should have said something. But what if he had a weapon? I’ve got kids.

Yes it's gross but all you had to do was tell a member of staff who would have probably told him to put it out.

@goldfishbowl2025 to be honest if I see someone smoking a roll up then 9 times out of 10 it will be a joint.
It's just everyday normal.
Personally I think it's disgusting but I also think regular cigarettes and vapes are just as bad.
He shouldn't have been smoking inside the store but other than that - this is one of those "meh" moments that I probably wouldn't have even noticed.

Well cos he looked suspiciously calm, I’m not fussed about people smoking joints! I used to live in NYC, but one of reasons I moved is I hate the smell of weed! So I was pretty shocked to see a fairly middle class looking male in a naice area smoking a joint, he looked sinister as he looked a bit dangerous!

It’s a sad state of affairs if people think it’s ok for someone to walk around a supermarket (there were some youngish teens there too that could be influenced) with a joint smoking. @HeyThereDelilaof course he could have had a weapon, he looked the calm angry type plus well a dickhead too.

Omg! I too saw some people walking around smoking spliff the other day. You can usually smell it in town. Or see someone in the park. But not just walking around the high street.

And then on way home I saw 3/4 of a full joint just discarded on the floor. And that’s the point when I really thought the society of today has truly lost it 🤣 We would never just leave a joint behind like that in my day.
