A woman on the bus dropped her ticket purposely on the floor of the bus. Totally first world problems of mine, I know, but it irked me. If the bus wasn't so busy, I would've asked her if she drops litter on the floor at home and asked if she realises someone has to clean her rubbish up. It probably wouldn't have registered with her though. Other things is people pushing each other to get on the bus, even ensuring they got on before an old lady.

Another much more serious thing is war. The absolute desperation that war causes. My goodness. People killing each other. When does it end?

OP posts:
StrongandNorthern · 29/07/2025 16:00

The current news about South Yorkshire Police.

Offcom · 29/07/2025 16:00

Found garden waste in black bin liners in the communal recycling bin.

The recycling bin with a big “no black bin liners” sticker on the front.

Absentmindedsmile · 29/07/2025 16:05

Basically everything.

Children seem to have no manners.
Adults seem to have no manners.
everyone seems to be self obsessed. Too much navel gazing
people taking photos of food
people taking selfies
Dropping litter
each person thinks they are the centre of the universe
therapy. too much fcking therapy. It doesn’t do much good a lot of the time. Makes it worse often.
no one takes responsibility
its always someone else’s fault

Well that’s off the top of my head ;)

LadeOde · 29/07/2025 16:05

How cold people can be on some threads even when its clear the OP is grieving. they seem to enjoy stating their 'opinions'.

News updates of parents killing their own children. I mean just how?

The sheer greed and entitlement of seemingly 'normal' people and the extent to which they go to get what they believe is rightfully theirs.

Yolo12345 · 29/07/2025 16:06

Litter everywhere and dog poo bags discarded full of poo everywhere. Senseless graffiti.

CynicalSunni · 29/07/2025 16:07

People smashing glass bottles everywhere.
Was in the playground this morning and it was filled with rubbish from fastfood places.

Okay fair enough if teenagers want to eat and drink in the park. But why smash bottles all over the place and leaving all your rubbish???

My toddler tries to pick up everything and i have to do a clean of the park before i let her out of the pram.

That's outside of the general rubbish people leave lying around. There's a bin right outside

This happened at the weekend , but only heard of it today - some idiot decided to set fire to our favourite beach bar in Cyprus .
I say “idiot” because a) He’s apparently on the security cameras and b) He set fire to his own clothing whilst igniting the petrol .

And also the idiots ( expletives deleted) who set the wildfires in Greece, Turkey and Cyprus.

Givemestrengthanddetermination · 29/07/2025 16:09

I agree @ StrongandNorthern
It's just horrendous. Words fail me when I read the accounts of those children.
The sheer depravity of those police officers.

Yiayoula · 29/07/2025 16:11

And agree with all posts on this thread .
Depressing, isn’t it .

Whatshesaid96 · 29/07/2025 16:16

I reversed in a parking space. I've then edged forward to straighten, put the car into reverse and a mum walks her young child (under 5) behind my car between us and a wall. Like WTF, must have been a metre gap if that. Empty car park to walk around the front of the car where I can see you. Nope you try and get yourself squished between a car and a wall. Thankfully as I spotted them in the nearside wing mirror so I hit the brakes before I pinned them.

RantzNotBantz · 29/07/2025 16:16

The way people absorb misinformation from trashy newspapers and SM and regurgitate it without thought, looking up facts, listening to facts or being able to separate issues in their mind.

Specifically - many posters on the RNLI thread.

LadeOde · 29/07/2025 16:16

RE: kids smashing bottles, setting fires i strongly believe due to the lack of discipline and laying down of boundaries a lot of young people have or are growing up not knowing how to self regulate. This is causing an increased restlessness in many that is being expressed in he outward aggressive displays seen.

NotSmallButFunSize · 29/07/2025 16:18

All the knobheads on the "sick" in my team who are having a lovely time on holiday etc according to social media

Get to fucking work!!

Sidebeforeself · 29/07/2025 16:20

Dog shit everywhere. Given the fact that you really dont see dogs on the loose these days , every single one of these is the fault of some ignorant bastard ( not the dog!)

littlemisstrytoohard · 29/07/2025 16:29

We r half way through a house renovation. Scaffolding up, red cones on street, skips etc…..
A lot of the front fascia of the house is being replaced. So today the council turn up ( 3 people!) asking why the commemorative plaque has been removed. No polite email to ask or anything. Just confrontation. You can’t even see the bit of wall where it had been sited!!

MiloMinderbinder925 · 29/07/2025 16:32

That human rights seems to be becoming a dirty word.

mizu · 29/07/2025 16:39

@RantzNotBantz yes to this 😕 my mum has recently shown her true colours with regard to immigration and, with no critical thinking whatsoever, has said some terrible things perhaps forgetting that I have worked closely with the UN, asylum seekers, migrants, refugees for over 25 years!

MooDengOfThailand · 29/07/2025 16:40

Saw a blind beggar cry after getting robbed on Princes Street in Edinburgh.

I knew it was over for us then.

muddyford · 29/07/2025 16:43

Four black sacks of general domestic waste dumped in the lane of my regular walk. A mile from the village, beautiful lane. Utter tossers. In both senses.

Whoooo · 29/07/2025 16:48

The reform/farage lovers on this platform.
The glee they show about reforms horrific views and policies show me exactly how the nazis gained power in the 1930s.
Never really understood it until recently.
I despair.

medianewbie · 29/07/2025 16:59

Politicians/press today using Jimmy Savile's name as a political football. Please stop.

ladyinwaiting99 · 29/07/2025 17:39

On holiday and having sun lounger woes. There aren’t enough to go around but one girl routinely reserves 3 for herself. One in the shade near her partner, one in the sun and one near the hot tub area.
Plus the inevitable large parties who reserve sun loungers for all 8 of them (including one for each child) for the whole day then sit on them for a few minutes at a time before leaving again. And all the children ever do is plonk their stuff on them. I know this is minor in the grand scheme of things but it has made me realise how selfish some people are.

Deliciousandnutrious · 29/07/2025 17:53

My manager has been hospitalised awaiting emergency surgery sadly. There are a lot of date sensitive legal matters pending. The temp manager keeps insisting that no action is needed. That the unwell manager will return 2 weeks after the day they went off as the recovery time is due to be 2 weeks. We have all pointed out this would be 2 weeks from surgery not from the 1 st day of absence.

Litter everywhere and dog poo bags discarded full of poo everywhere. Senseless graffiti.

The graffiti tags(names)are all over in the city I live in.
It really annoys me as it drags area's down which were once spotless and nice.

LouH1981 · 29/07/2025 18:07

There is a woman who walks her dog passed our house every day. He always approaches my children and jumps up them. He is middle sizeish with sharp claws. She never pulls him away even though he is on a lead or apologises even though they visibly back away.

Today, I was ushering my children to the car in the rain and she walks past. As my 4 year gets in the car, she lets him jump up her and gets her leggings soaked with wet and dirt. Not a single apology. She drives me insane.
