To find every bra uncomfortable?

I hate bras. I have one I like which I wear all the time, it’s baggy and unattractive. Basically a saggy crop top.

I ordered the same make, same size and now have some new bras. They appear to fit perfectly, not too tight on the band, cups fit well. At first I thought - ‘brilliant, these fit perfectly!’

Yet within a few hours I’m desperate to take it off! They give me weird headaches, almost like a pressure in my sinuses.

Don’t even get me started on the time I had a professional fitting and bought very expensive bras - they were agony!

Is it me or are all bras out to make my life miserable?!

Look up Bellarosalingerie on Instagram - she does fittings online and I have never known a bra be comfortable all day until then! She’s incredible - and super sweet and helpful

@Seeline thanks so much for that tip!

I always lurk on these threads to see if I can find the holy grail but I'm invariably disappointed when loads of the suggestions don't come in my size.

After so many recommendations for the M&S Flexifit bra, I went looking for it, only to find that it's the one I already have 😂 In which case, I agree that they're pretty good as far as bras go, but taking it off and changing into my pyjamas is still a highlight of my day.

I'm grateful for seeing the pics on the website again though, and have finally worked out why the straps have hooks - it's so you can cross them, should you ever lose your mind want to. That is a feature they could do without - the number of times a strap has unhooked itself while I'm wearing it is considerable. It's massively inconvenient! As the hooks are at the back you've got to take the whole damn thing off to fix it, unless you've got a handy helper nearby. It's a particular pain in the backside when in public and/or wearing a dress...

After the recommendations on this thread I decided to get myself a Molke bra and I am so impressed. It’s really comfortable, fits well and my boobs haven’t been this high since I was a teenager!

seasid · 30/07/2025 08:54

I’m very grateful I have small boobs and innie nipples because I can get away with not wearing a bra. I haven’t worn (or owned) a bra in like 6+ years. I had a breast cancer scare where I had a lump that grew and it just became very uncomfortable, so during the period of time I stopped wearing one for that I realised how comfortable that life was that I couldn’t go back to wearing one 😂

£45, so I’ll look elsewhere!

needtostopnamechanging · 03/08/2025 19:13

45 but I have some that I bought a year or two before lockdown and are only now needing replacing so that’s much better value per wear than many others

thisplaceintime · 03/08/2025 19:27

The M&S Flexifit only goes up to E cup, is that correct? Seems very restrictive. I need a 32FF

HonkyDonkey · 03/08/2025 20:37

I'm a 36G and they have my size.

It must be another section on the website like pp has said.

I made a similar post recently op.

Someone on here recommended the m&s flexifit (wireless)

At first I was hesitant to try it as I have a 36G chest and always find wireless bras don't offer enough support.

OMG no word of a lie, the first day I wore it I would randomly panic thinking that I had forgotten to put a bra on!!! It was so comfortable that I would forget I was wearing one.

The very next day I binned all my other bras, went to m&s and bought multiple in every colour, and I've never looked back.

It's so supportive and I genuinely forget I'm wearing one.

I promise you will not regret trying this. No word of a lie, it's literally changed my life as I've always HATED wearing a bra and used to find them so uncomfortable.

Good luck.

Thank you for this recommendation @HonkyDonkey , I'm 34GG and now frantically googling M&S Flexifit!

Cherry78 · 27/08/2025 10:19

I have just received my bra from body & bra. Omg so comfortable and lifts so I have put it straight on. I am usually a 34G. I am going to look at their other styles as it's not very attractive but to be quite honest, I don't care.

It's certainly not just you given that desperation to fling a bra off is such a trope that it was part of a whole advert this year. MacMillan or something? And it's on TikTok reals and posts on here etc.

Not something I've ever experienced. I can't feel my bra any more than I can feel any of my clothes. Or my contact lenses etc.

So I don't know what the answer is but it's a widespread and commonly discussed issue so hopefully someone else can offer something more useful.

Our skins tend to get thinner and more sensitive as we get older, certainly I hate mine more nowadays than I ever used to. 😞
