One million immigrants claiming benefits

Just been reading the comments sections of the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail articles about the one million foreigners claiming benefits in the UK. It feels like the final nail in the coffin and a lot of people will feel even more justified in expressing their anger and hate towards immigrants. What happens when Reform win the next general election and come into power? Will people be rounded up en masse and put in detention centres like the USA?

Everywhere I look in my home town I see groups of young immigrant men wandering around. This is the middle of a weekday, so, like you say, either they're all on nights or they're claiming benefits. My neighbour no longer goes into town because she's so intimidated. The journalist Alex Philips posted a good video on what it's like for a young, single woman in London these days – the constant hassle, being followed home, etc. You can see it on YouTube. In fact, I'd say my town has been overwhelmed. There is a university in the town, and I suspect the student visa system is being exploited.

My local words have been hacked down to make way for two new estates, and a second massive estate has been built at the other end of the village. Judging by what I've been told, and the languages I've heard, I'd say at least half the people who've moved onto those estates were not born in the UK. Most of them are from Somalia or Nigeria or the Middle East. Now the fields in the centre of the village are being built on as well. My village is being destroyed around my ears.

What sickens me is that I know the left would be delighted. Not only are they 100% on the side of the immigrants (even if they did come here by posing as refugees or by exploiting the student visa system), they also get a sadistic pleasure out of seeing us horrible middle-class NIMBY scum having our lives ruined. Because though the left like to pose as morally superior, in reality they are vicious, spiteful and hate-filled. But because their hatred and spite is directed towards Daily Mail reading Brexit voters, somehow it doesn't count.

Do you ever travel around the country to areas that may be outside the M25? Sorry it that's not the case, but you only have to look at the amount of Turkish barbers, foreign nail bars (the new tanning salons), and hand car washes to realise that they are topping up that £10 by quite a substantial cash in hand job. Added to that, that behind most of these establishments is either a drug or people trafficking network, some of them are probably on a nice little income.

i agree But the op didn’t write about climate change, international conflict, UK poverty, the NHS crisis or any of the other issues we are currently facing. She asked about immigrants claiming benefits. Which I answered, without giving a personal opinion.

@ChocolateGanache hmmm, maybe I am directly involved in one of those trades, and I would dearly like my students to have the opportunity of being able to set up their own business in the future, like my generation used to be able to, without some money laundering immigrant setting up next door. We currently have over 22 barbers on my town - the latest has set up directly opposite one of the oldest, most established salons; tried to pinch the owner's staff (they just told him to piss off) and he's had ONE customer in the last year. He sleeps in his shop and there are all sorts of goings on in the flat above it in the evenings. So yes, I do have a little insight into what goes on around me. You?

They haven’t learned since Brexit. All the empty promises and then the country went downhill, they are listening to the same people who sold them dreams.

Growing up as one of the few white children in a class, and I teach in a school that is highly diverse, I don’t see this division as my area has always been like this.

Farage doesn't want to stop the boat, it is his trade mark.

I have a teen dd who has been harassed numerous times by migrant men on her way to college, I was actually with her once when it happened and witnessed it myself. She hates it and feels very uncomfortable.
We are not in London but in another large city.
There's a new estate currently under development in my area 100% without a doubt that this estate will be almost if not 100% inhabited my migrants as its just the way it is now around here. It's come to something when its an actual shock to see an English family being housed on our estate in England because it just no longer happens, even though many english families are trying and bidding on these properties. As soon as a house becomes vacant can guarantee the new tenants will be none British.
As a result our once lovely well cared for estate has become incredibly run down and scruffy with rubbish dumped everywhere, scruffy gardens and windows. they just don't seem to have the same pride in how their homes look and its been so sad to see the decline in the area as a result.

Because in Greater Manchester, the council estates that are heaving with generations of people doing absolutely fuck all, are not “native” to Britain.

They consist of Men with multiple wives (who will never go to work), who all have multiple children, and are “self employed” earning the good old £12,500 pa number, so not actually paying in to any services, wandering around the towns spitting at and trying to intimidate people.
