Would you say this vinted item is as described (pics)

I don’t know if it’s just me so need to know some opinions. I feel like the picture must’ve been taken in a different light as the dress is much darker than I thought it’d be. First picture is the one on vinted, second is what it actually looks like. AIBU to think that it doesn’t look like the picture as in the shade of blue is much darker irl? I really don’t like it as it’s a dark navy blue, I was expecting an electric blue but please tell me if IABU.

Ive had this, I ordered a brown dress and when it came it was green

I think their lighting settings are off

But it’s not the same - the electric blue one has birds - the darker one gas flowers..

This happened to me on Vinted. Bought a pink dress that arrived and was Oxblood! Given that you have to pay return postage, I really think it’s a bit much to have misleading photos!

1st picture taken with flash and/or in artificial light. Pretty misleading. It definitely doesn't look the same in natural light.

I don’t think there’s much I can do though is there? I don’t want to pay return postage so I guess I’ll just need to suck it up? I don’t sell on Vinted as I don’t have the time so will charity shop it if there’s nothing I can do.

What was the colour in the listing? If it was navy the. I’d complain but given the lighting in the picture I’d have asked before I bought.

I kept it as it was only cheap😁

Phone photos are never particularly accurate on colour in my experience. Your own photo is so poor (out of focus, looks like lens isn't clean) that I doubt if you will get anywhere. Just resell the item.

@Redburnettmy camera is broken at the back as my DS dropped it, half the glass isn’t there and it was just for the colour comparison. I could take better ones with iPad but I just wanted to check that the colour does look different, I don’t think I’m going to bother flagging it up with vinted.

Look like two different dresses. First one looks like a Laura Ashley dress I used to have.

On the listing what did they have down as the colour?

If it was eBay you would have no problem saying that’s nad, But Vinted are more tricky.

OP it is hard to tell as you have only a close up not most of the dress like the pic. I would have expected the seller to say the blue is much darker than it has photographed.
Do you have grounds to return it as ‘not as described’?

I ordered sandals that looked very dark blue in the photos but were in fact baby blue when they arrived. No mention of this in the description. Vinted sided with the seller

Sometimes. colours aren't accurate but I would always say in a listing. And I wouldn't photograph something unless in natural light.

It’s a different pattern as well I wouldn’t accept that looks like a totally different dress to me.

We can’t compare on that photo. It looks totally different but it also looks like your camera is badly broken and that will be distorting it all too.
