Favourite lazy arse dinners

As per title. Tonight I have a plate of pasta (fusilli) with butter melted through and cheddar cheese on top. Teaspoon of lazy garlic mixed through with the butter. When I’m being less disgusting I melt butter and a little garlic into the fusilli, add tuna or chicken and basil, and squeeze a lemon over. But the ultimate lazy dinner is literally a heap of pasta covered in cheese.

What are your ultimate lazy arse dinners?

For me alone - sliced avocado, sliced cheese and sliced tomato. Salted. My fave. Or a microwave cauliflower cheese.

For the fam - quick lazy meal would be an M&S meal. We get this often on a Friday night after swimming lessons. Everyone picks what they want which usually means a mix of microwave meals and oven meals from the Chinese section of marks.

Other lazy dinners include salmon in the air fryer with either cous cous or rice and steam fresh veg; chicken goujons, salad, salsa in wraps.

Baked potato with butter for dd2.

A takeaway

Cheese omelette or boiled egg mashed up in a cup with butter and/or cheese.

Crisp sandwich (salt and vinegar ideally). Or hula hoops with chunks of cheese stuck into the middle. These are delicacies I've been enjoying since I was about 12!

Two fried eggs! Or an advocado!

Oh yes! If I know that my sons will be out I’ll be having tinned spaghetti bolognese. I admit that I’ll even eat it at room temperature out of the tin.

Baking camembert (done in the air fryer) with pitta bread to dip. If feeling adventurous add sweet chilli sauce

Tesco meal deal.
Marmite on toast.
Instant ramen.
Cheese that's already been sliced in a roll.
Salami in a roll.

Spaghetti with a tin of Campbell’s condensed cream of chicken soup with oregano as a “sauce”

Carton of passata mixed with mascarpone add basil and a squeeze of garlic paste. This makes lovely tomato soup or a topping for pasta

Similar! My go to is garlic cooked in olive oil, add some chicken stock and cream and fresh lemon juice and then add to cooked linguine with lots of finely grated Parmesan then fresh basil. 10 minute meal and delicious.

Has to be on white bread with a shit load of butter and it’s amazing! I also like a cheese and onion omlette with a side of chicken noodles 🫣

The cheese and broccoli one has been a staple for me since I was student and I turn 50 this year!

If I'm making an effort I'll fry off a bit of bacon, leek/spring onion, red pepper and courgette before chucking the packet in along with milk/water and a load of extra cheese stirred in at the end.

If I'm being really lazy...family size bag of crisps and a large glass of wine.

One of my favourites is beans, covered in grated smoked cheese sprinkled with something spicy like harrissa, melted in the microwave and topped with chopped avocado.

Served with brown buttered toast or waffles.

Perfectly. I buy the fresh stuff and it is so handy to pull out. Defrosts very quickly.

Pasta cheese and ketchup use to eat it as a kid or pasta and pesto with feta

Delivery

Aldi hot smoked salmon pieces pinged in microwave/ airfryer.

Micro-rice or if I can be arsed cous-cous (splash of hot water- rest- big knob of butter, hundreds of salt & pepper).

Spring onions & snap peas cut with scissors & mixed in rice or cous cous.

Sweet chilli sauce from a bottle or soy sauce.

5 minutes flat. DS2 (18) LOVES it & it counts as 'cooking for his girlfriend' 🤣
