Why is it very difficult to buy a long length t shirt

I just want a long length T-shirt. Being 5ft 8 and overweight. So many T-shirts are short in length, fitted. Not brilliant if want to cover up.

Can’t afford much

Next tall range?

NotAntisocialJustSelectivelySocial · 02/07/2025 13:58

Yours do a 3 pack for £24.

tumblingdowntherabbithole · 02/07/2025 13:58

There are loads on Amazon, I just got three last weekend.

nomas · 02/07/2025 14:00

Tesco has some

Noshadelamp · 02/07/2025 14:05

It drives me crazy. I'm tall and so fed up of boxy short t shirts.

I found some nice longer length t shirts in Next, few different designs all under a tenner each.

OriginalUsername2 · 02/07/2025 14:07

Maybe a “T-shirt dress” would be the same length as a long T-shirt these days

Fivews · 02/07/2025 14:09

Just picked up some long v-neck T-shirts in plain colours from Next. £7.50 or 2 for £14.

Even if I find one that I like, there’s some stupid slogan on it like ‘I’m a princess’ or some childish print like Bambi or Hello Kitty. I’m a grown woman not a 8-year-old. The T-shirt making industry needs a revolution.

imfae · 02/07/2025 14:12

Have you tried menswear as they tend to be longer in length? Have bought from Sainsburys etc . Uniqlo is probably best for basic t shirts etc . I tend to buy the long sleeve ones from them .

At the moment, one of the fashion are 'baby tees' very small and tight t-shirts with that kind of thing on it.

It’s incredibly annoying. Like manufacturers are trying to use the least possible amount of fabric in women’s clothes, while charging us more.

Cutecattoes · 02/07/2025 14:25

Im not tall and still have this issue.
Ide like to be able to lift my arms and not have my belly on display.

Thelnebriati · 02/07/2025 14:31

This is why I switched to men's t shirts. I look like a sheet hanging on a washing line but they are comfy.

Maddy70 · 02/07/2025 14:52

Buy men's.

ScabbyHorse · 02/07/2025 15:16

Men’s are cheaper and better quality material I’ve found

Rocknrollstar · 02/07/2025 15:21

yours t-shirts are very long

MissDoubleU · 02/07/2025 15:26

Do you wear Music merch? I have hundreds of long sleeved band t shirts 😂

BlackCatsAreBrilliant · 02/07/2025 15:31

Another vote for men's t-shirts.

beetr00 · 02/07/2025 15:34

@hostleg

do you have a Primark nearby?

QwestSprout · 02/07/2025 15:36

The Ivy range from Fat Face are quite long length (depends how long you want, but they tend to stick out from beneath a jumper on me).

Bollihobs · 02/07/2025 15:38

Yep men's t shirts for me too - I hate "too short" t shirts by the men's ones are always longer - I got quite a few in Poundland so not expensive.

Mountain Warehouse are my go-to for long t-shirts and they wash and wear well

ssd · 02/07/2025 18:00

I agree @hostleg , i hate short boxy tee shirts...I'm short and boxy enough.
