Lauren Sanchez before and after. What is it with inflatable lips and sculpted cheeks and the inflated breasts? She looked like a nice, attractive woman before.

That’s not surprising, due to your tendency towards misogyny.

How so? To say that women aren't doing themselves any favours by looking like blow up sex dolls.

For judging women on their appearances.

I think she was a very attractive woman before she had all that work done. My husband agrees and says she looks awful now and doesn't understand this "look."

Your husband agrees? That settles it then. Somebody call her people. Brian from Wolverhampton thinks she looks awful! Thank all that's holy fillers are dissolvable or she'd have to put a bag on her head next time she sees him down the Kings Head.

😂. Tony from Rotherham has spoken!

What is wrong with her husband agreeing?! No one said that he’s the holy grail, just that she chatted about it with her husband aka another person.

I really think some mumsnetters hate men tbh.

Bridgetjonesheart · 01/07/2025 22:01

My theory is that it’s because of camera culture. Somehow having our photo taken all of the time and shared with everyone via social media has warped how we perceive ourselves. We change the face to look good on camera, but in life it looks terrible. Obviously in this instance it doesn’t look ‘good’ on camera either.

Oh jeez. I'm just saying why women are under so much pressure that they want to look like an artificial AI blown up doll? Fortunately. I dont care what anyone thinks I look like but there are many young women who feel pressured to have plastic surgery.

No. They’re entitled to have whatever conversations they want, and hold whatever opinions they want. It’s when women grandiosely declare on here that ‘my husband agrees’ or ‘my DH says’, as though any of us are supposed to give a shit about the opinion of some random middle aged bloke.

Fwiw I left an abusive relationship, had custody of my children, and was a single dad. Hence my interest in "mum" things.

I’m sure all that happened. Shouldn’t your interest be in dad things? I highly doubt many single mothers are on dad parenting websites. Shame for your kids to have a dad who tells women to fuck off for having an opinion.

The Lauren Sanchez hate is getting really tiring. Not a fan of her but it's so obvious loads of women are just jealous that someone who doesn't fit their ideal of what a beautiful, classy woman should be, ended up marrying the world's richest man.

Bollocks

I was on a plane next to a woman with this same horrible over enhanced face, she also looked dreadful. Definitely not jealous. This was on Ryanair so doubt her husband was rich.

They do it because women are socially conditioned to believe their value lies in their looks. It's really sad.

The woman on the plane also had big clearly fake boobs and was wearing a see through vest with no bra. She might as well have held up a sign saying my self esteem is tightly bound to how many men stare at me.

AngryBird6122 · 01/07/2025 22:03

EmeraldShamrock000 · 01/07/2025 18:52

Her choice, I'm glad I am not rich, I'd probably resemble Pete Burns.

@EmeraldShamrock000 same! I think I would get addicted and just because there is all that money there, I would try to keep fixing myself. God, we are lucky 😂

You say it’s ‘sad’ but then speak disparagingly about her, so it’s clear you don’t have any genuine empathy.

Because people are always judging women’s appearances…..

This. It shouldn’t matter as long as she’s happy

MaryGreenhill · 01/07/2025 22:05

Could it be because Jeffrey likes her looking like a blow up sex doll ?

I agree she was much prettier in the 'before' picture. But even then she had clearly had a considerable amount of 'work' done.

The picture on the right is fake - she doesn't look like that.

I don't know, she's not far off.

657904I · 01/07/2025 22:13

To be honest I don’t think her cheeks or body is the issue. She looks uncanny because of the lips and nose job? You can see up her nostrils now even though the angle isn’t significantly different, suggest her nose is more upturned now.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 01/07/2025 22:15

IcedPurple · 01/07/2025 22:07

She was pretty because she looked natural. Nobody can say that the blown up lips, weird slanted eyes and eyebrows, huge boobs and sculpted cheeks look natural. Just again, Lauren was very attractive and pretty before she had surgery.

I don't hate men. I just don't love the ones who titter and snipe about how awful women look. Half the time they're just saying what their wives want to hear for a quiet life. The other half just need to get a life.

The 'now' picture is clearly photoshopped, but I agree that she looks weird now.

My point is that even in the 'before' pic she was far from 'natural' and had clearly already had procedures done.

Loki64 · 01/07/2025 22:17

Because its her body and she can do what she wants with it.

The point is, it doesn’t matter if you think she looked prettier/more natural or whatever before. She isn’t doing it for you, or for your husband. She can do whatever the fuck she wants to her face.
There is certainly a deeper conversation to be had about the pressure some people may or may not feel to look a certain way, or to make it look like they’re not ageing, but what you think she looks like is irrelevant. She doesn’t owe you attractiveness.

I get why you've written the things that you have, in response to my opinions, but on this occasion I'm afraid your interpretations have been very wide of the mark, and genuinely aimed at the wrong target.
I don't take it personally, and I wish you peace and happiness.🙂
And I apologise for the sweary bits too. It wasn't because you had an opinion, it was just frustration at your seeming insistence on picking a fight.
As someone else has pointed out, Mumsnet was originally for 'parents', not exclusively just for mums. It is streets ahead of any other site in terms of info, interest and discussion, which is why I continue to come here.
