Lauren Sanchez before and after. What is it with inflatable lips and sculpted cheeks and the inflated breasts? She looked like a nice, attractive woman before.

Ugh, its disgusting!
Why do women plump their lips to resemble swollen labia majora. A result of the pornification of society?

Agreed. It's actually grotesque. I get so tired of people saying 'it's their choice' and ' don't judge'. It says something very frightening about society that women want to resemble blow up dolls. It is creepy and regressive. It's funny that feminists on this site have no problem calling out the trans cult and how that is harmful to women, and call drag 'womanface' but then turn around and be all 'you do you' to women who turn themselves into creepy sex clowns.

Please stop replying to him, he clearly can't cope with the idea of you having the last word and we're just going to be subjected to endless pointless inanities from him.

You’re right. It’s sad how fragile the male ego is.

For judging women on their appearances.

Men would and do get the same judgement for doing the same thing. Like that Ken doll guy and Mickey Rooney. Zac Efron got a lot of criticism for his changing appearance.

It just seems like men don't get this criticism because far less men get far less surgery because the is far less pressure placed on them to look a certain way.

I think, in their circle, they must stand out if they don’t have the surgeries/fillers so it might play on their self-esteem.
Imagine going to a party of 40-50 year-olds and they’re all botoxed to the max with perfect figures etc. and you’re stood there with your normal figure, normal beauty, normal facial lines etc.
I couldn’t change my face though, I’d be too scared about it going wrong 🥲

Exactly this. She doesn’t run in normal circles. She’s surrounded by fake and one up man ship.

She’s got a very rich man who could drop her like a ball for most women around him. She has eyes and cameras on her everywhere. And she has to “prove” she’s worthy of bagging such a rich guy.

She has a lot of pressure on her looks. So much that I feel sorry for her, whether she feels that pressure or not.

Caligirl80 · 01/07/2025 23:52

I can't fathom why she would ruin her looks like that - she was very pretty, and now she looks like the "Joker" products videos in the Tim Burton Batman movie. She and her now husband must have body image issues - he's had plenty of odd surgery too (including allegedly having implants put in himself). All that money and they still aren't happy. I wouldn't be at all interested in him or his money - or the publicity circus the whole thing has attracted, but apparently she is, so good for her if that's what floats her boat. It's just a shame she wanted to put herself through all that surgery. And also a shame that it perhaps is the case that her now husband wouldn't have wanted her if she hadn't had that surgery.

Glazedcarrot · 02/07/2025 00:23

Because it’s completely normalised and seen as the done thing to maintain one’s appearance & prevent ageing -sadly. One thing I’ve noticed in huge numbers of female US actors & celebrities (of generations older than current ones) who were all presumably pressured into having nose jobs - when their noses were perfectly fine to begin with - even like Cindy Crawford for eg. There just seems to be so much gratuitous plastic surgery before this culture of filling & extreme contouring took hold. I think the pressure, the culture in America of plastic surgery equalling beauty treatment & an unlimited budget means it’s easy I assume to lose sight of what looks good. Plus she’s presumably being guided by aestheticians who I’d imagine drive to a large extent what she “needs” to have done every visit. But it is out of control imo.

Mirabai · 02/07/2025 00:29

I was surprised how attractive she was before. It’s a shame.

I don’t think it’s necessarily low self esteem though, she seems a confident person. The cosmetic surgery cult in the US is insane and convinces women of a certain age that this kind of work is an “improvement”.

She seems to have been trying to “perfect” her look befitting a billionaire’s wife. Only she made a better billionaire’s wife before.

I agree and when so many women look like that it becomes the norm and then women expect to look like other women. It self perpetuates.

Todayismyfavouriteday · 02/07/2025 01:05

I always wonder the same, too. Why would a woman choose to fill her lips to look like a fish underwater? It invariably looks awful. I always feel that the 'before' pictures look so much better.

Petitchat · 02/07/2025 01:06

Yaaay, we seem to have moved on from Meghan Markle at last!!

Thank god for that....

I think what is lost in the quest of "insta face" is the homogeneity makes its boring. Individuality is attractive and it's about how a whole face fits together. If you think of all the really good looking famous people they all have some imperfections but it balances out on the whole face. Full lips are attractive but there are attractive people with thin lips, and lip fillers can upset the harmony of your face and emphasise something with the nose or chin etc.

True, they all look the same. It's so boring - and they all look so fake.

Gowlett · 02/07/2025 01:09

Aging. Especially if you are very good-looking.
I just say, be happy you had it, when you had it.

Gowlett · 02/07/2025 01:11

Young women getting stuff done is another matter.
I think it’s awful to alter your gorgeous little face…

YourAmplePlumPoster · 01/07/2025 21:03

I dont see why men are not allowed to have an opinion on this. A man has said he doesn't find the inflatable doll look attractive and Lauren's inflatable boobs give a whole new meaning to Sillicon Valley.

Just quietly, since you're calling other women bimbos, it's 'silicone' (for the stuff that goes in boobs) or 'Silicon' for the valley.

NeedZzzzzssss · 02/07/2025 01:17

That picture isn't real, she didn't look like that a few days ago. But agree, she looked better to start with. I think the issue is that differences are becoming rare and noticeable so it's probeven worse in celebrity circles. I notice it now, someone with thin lips or small eyes really stands on TV and looks so unattractive compared to other people, even though 10 years ago you woudkbt have even noticed it.

Bezos first wife helped him set up the business and is a distinguished author. She took half his money in the divorce settlement so he's gone for a bimbo second time around

You may not agree with her choice to under go cosmetic surgery but a bimbo she is not. Maybe you should educate yourself about her instead of judging her based on her looks.

This particular OP is solely judging women, though, hence me calling her a misogynist.

My DH says he doesn't understand it at all and can't see the attraction.

It's always lovely on threads like this to hear that women have been subjected to the male gaze and found wanting. We need much more of this in our society!

They do, but in fairness, they tend to pick a "before" pic from when the woman was much younger and the worst "after" pic they can find, might even alter it if she doesn't actually look awful enough. The whole point is to make you gasp at how much she has destroyed herself.

She'd have been shamed for ageing naturally too.

How many men are genuinely attracted to the fake look if that is their reason

Worralorra · 02/07/2025 08:28

Too little self-esteem coupled with too much money leads down this particular rabbit-hole!
Also - lip enhancement becoming nigh-on a rite of passage (see other thread about imagined sexual harrassment being rejected by HR) leads to the normalisation of plastic surgery/tweakments in the media and in some parts of society.
I personally would go only as far as to have dental implants, if I could afford it, but that’s as far as I would go - because I’m happy in my own skin, and people can (and do) take me as I am!
