DH not changed bedding for 4 weeks

He's in a separate bedroom. Flithy f**ker not changed his bed for 4 weeks, so this morning I asked him if he was thinking of changing his sheets as he's been in them for 4 weeks.....he doesn't have a clue how long they've been on....If I had not mentioned it, I wonder how long he'd have kept them on.
He's in our son's room and he's coming back end of July so have ordered some nice new bedding for him 😄

I change mine after my period has finished so once a month. I tend to sweat a lot during that time.
It is just me so no one else to care much about it.
I have never been ill or had any skin conditions.

Ewwww

Ewwww

Be grossed out. You are not sharing my bed with me.

Not planet-friendly but...bed mats? I'm sure there are some reusable ones that would be smaller to wash every day than the entire double bed sheets.

By whose rule book?

Cherrytree86 · 01/07/2025 20:12

@WeylandYutani

why after your period had finished?? What’s the relevance of that?

lovenotwar149 · 01/07/2025 20:12

I change my bed sheets at the end of every month! And what People???

The skanky types always mention the planet -and water usage, when in fact, they’re probably just lazy mingers who don’t like to admit it.

Bed sheets do not stay clean just because you’re clean when you’re in them. They’ll still be full of sweat and dead skin cells - exactly what mites find delicious.

A clean bed is one of life’s greatest pleasures and an essential part of good housekeeping.

Who cares though? No one lives to please you (thank god).

2025mj · 01/07/2025 20:13

I think my sheets have been on for about 2 months 😂 I honestly can't remember

Because I sweat more during my period and sometimes leak in the night.

It seems to me a good point in which to change my bedding. I am autistic and thrive on routines like this.

Have I missed something, or are you questioning someone’s ethnicity based on their laundry routine?

Probably linked in to the whole thing about white people don’t shower properly, don’t wash their legs etc

What's that got to do with it? Seems completely irrelevant to me!

If that's what the comment was about, it's disgustingly racist!

Unfortunately, a clean bed is also stuffed full of mites! And amazingly, we all seem to survive living alongside all sorts of tiny living things we can't see.

🤢🤢
we change bedding once a week in the winter, in the summer it’s every other day and we never use the same towel twice
🤢🤢

We have mites in our eyelashes.
Tiny bugs are part of life.

VirtueSignaller · 01/07/2025 20:41

He will need to make sure that he uses a long hot wash and plenty of laundry liquid to get rid of that staleness.

How often do you wash your towels?

Perhaps she has lots of towels and doesn’t need to wash them every week because of this?

Cheezus. I bet it smells like a builder's hairy bollocks in your bed.

My DH sleeps in a separate room to me and probably only changes the bedding every 3/4 weeks, whereas I change mine every 7/10 days depending on the time of year. Sometimes I remind him to change the bedding, other times I just think he’s the one sleeping in it, he’s a grown man and he can decide for himself when to change the bedding.

Emmz1510 · 01/07/2025 20:45

We don’t change our sheets nearly as often as some of the people on here…..😊. Especially in Autumn and winter.
They are difficult to dry if the weather isn’t good or you don’t have a tumble drier.
Good bedding is also so expensive to have more than 2/3 sets to rotate. But we do shower regularly- promise!

BMW6 · 01/07/2025 20:46

TomatoSandwiches · 01/07/2025 15:28

I've tried sleeping on towels but I still soak all the way through, I mean I'm dripping from every part of my body, it's disgusting, sometimes I wake up and my finger tips are pruned.
Any helpful suggestions welcome, no one wants to be stripping and making up a double bed everyday do they.

Sleep in the bath

Every other day? 😂

Fook dat shit! Couldn't be faffed with that.

NO-ONE needs to change the bed linen every 2 days. No. NO-ONE!

Well, they can.

What a ridiculous comment.

She only said what’s the difference between a week and 9 days, because there’s very little difference in reality.

You enjoy changing your bed every day, the rest of us have lives to live. Each to their own, etc.
