@cumbriaisbest I think it's best if you try to avoid your Islamic friend.
Maybe your friend has been raised with other like minded individuals who also follow the same faith so perhaps she doesnt know she is overstepping your boundaries?
It says more about her than you. That shes not as open minded as she thinks.
Avoid relegious people overall. They generally have strong opinions and will challenge you if you try to question it

I get the feeling the " rest" just fade away in Christianity. I asked my local rector and she said it was like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. So I'm none the wiser!

Fair enough. What I understand is the rest yes fade away and aren't with god. In Islam it's quite scary eternal punishment.
