I can't stand listenting to it any more.Tatbir, Gaza and so on. Unrelenting pain.
In addition.....
Where do I go when I die ( as a non believer?)
Where will my gay son go?

I say this as somebody who has worked in community projects and is passionately against racism.

When i was a kid in the 90s / 2000s it was white people gay bashing. Degrading and assualting them was acceptable. We also got a fuck tonne of racist abuse. It was white people doing it. Stop acting like your high and fucking mighty, you colonisers terrorised almost the whole fucking globe and didnt spare homosexuals.

Fucking coloniser mindset. If people aren't the exactly the same as you, they must be a problem. They must conform or be punished. Happy to sweep over the big fucking crimes white people have committed, but islam and muslims are supposedly the problem every time. Look closer at your own fucking community. So much abuse happening behind closed doors by "civilised people".

Guess you couldn't come up with anything

Sigh.
I don't need to 'come up with anything' when there's no actual counter argument. 🫣

Morgenrot25 · 01/07/2025 22:25

Really interesting to observe where the genuinely hateful posts are coming from on this thread (clue - they're all in a row just above mine).

You've not said anything at all to say how it's oppressive. I've spent some time learning and reading about Islam and all rights and protections women get.

If you read actual words on actual comments, you'll see I have.
I won't be engaging any further with you.

Oh fuck off. You poke and prod and then cry victim when there's a response which involves holding a mirror up to you. Making a counter point is not hate. My whole life has gone being told im not enough. Not enough for being brown. Not enough for being female. Not good enough for being muslim. It's always shit coming from racist people.

With all due respect, you're projecting.
I hope you can accept yourself for who you are, and all accept that others can have different views on religion, without resorting to swearing at them.
Also, nobody mentioned colour, I don't care what colour/shade you are, and you also don't know what colour/shade anyone else is. 🤔

This is getting very unpleasant. And 'coloniser mindset' is an ironic thing to say given the history of Islam.

The tens of thousands of terror attacks don't exactly say 'minding our own business', either.

Maybe that's why people don't have 'the balls' to openly criticise what frankly walks and quacks like an aggressive supremacist movement with a side order of misogyny.

Maybe this is a goady thread, I'm unclear on where the OP is coming from. But I object to an attitude like yours behaving like your community is purer than pure while positively dripping with hostility to those around you.

Zanina · 02/07/2025 06:23

It's unpleasant being judged and singled out all the time. The fact that you sent a terrorist list just shows you judge islam and muslims as terrorists. You do realise there's bad people of all walks of life who do bad things in the name of politics, misogyny and religion? Do I need to send a list of how many people the UK & USA killed in the name of weapons thay didnt exist but stole natural resources whilst they were at it? As if that's not terrorism? As soon as I said coloniser mindset you've got your back up? You are expecting us to quietly take the criticism when there's actual double standards. But im not supposed to get my back up when we are being judged left right and centre? I never said we are pure and perfect, but we are being scapegoated for one reason or another and being held to a different standard. If YOU are allowed to have opinions, then so are we. If YOU can have prejudice against minorities, then we should be allowed to have prejudice against everyone else.

You’re posting terror lists and accusing others of being unpleasant?

I agree that the OP seems goady though.

Good Morning Zanina......rather weary of the "goading" thing. I have never, ever for one second goaded the friend. I have listened intently, tried to comprehend, been entirely respectful of her faith. Ironically enough, I have sought out Muslim women as friends and companions because many of their values chime in with my own.
I find it insulting that you suggest I goad this person. It's a horrible word really.

I came here in a state of confusion and upset, floudering around. I do struggle with those 2 questions...if I am a decent person according to Islam there is no after life for me and why is my son regarded in a less than favourable light in Islam.
Nobody has ever been able to answer these questions.
I am not nor have I ever been phobic about Islam.

So what happened. You asked her "where will me and my son end up in your version of the afterlife?" And she truthfully told that according to Islam you both will go to hell forever?

Why are you struggling though? Just stick to your own beliefs and don't worry about hers. If she brings up things you're not happy about then you have the option to distance yourself, but it doesn't sound as if she has other than the current war in Gaza which you share her feelings on? If it's too upsetting to discuss, tell her that. It's not confusing.

No, it certainly doesn't show that I judge all Muslims as terrorists. It's a small minority but also the number one terrorists threat we face in this country, and that puts you at risk as much as it does me. Have your opinions and prejudice, you've certainly shared them on here and made lots of generalisations while objecting vociferously to being associated with anything negative being done in the name of your religion.

I'm sorry if you feel scapegoated but IMO the Muslim world needs to get its house in order before suggesting people are 'phobic', because if anything I've held back on some of the horrific things being done around the world in the name of Islam. There are lots of positive to the faith but they are being overshadowed by all the crap we endlessly hear about. Be angry about that.

Why are you so bothered about what islam supposedly says about gay people and what ever else you have a problem with? Mind your own business and get on with your life

I'm sorry? Mind my own business?

I am bothered because I am a kind, empathic , thinking human being. And you?

Sorry OP I'm a bit confused. Did your friend go out and directly say to you "you and your son will burn in the pits of hell" or did you ask her what will happen you and your son in an islamic view? As in did you ask her "what will happen to me and my son according to islam?"

Fair enough. Probably because the truthful answer as per Islamic theology is genuinely "hellfire for eternity"
