Ok so new neighbours just moved In .. it’s a sunny day as you know everyone has windows open they decided to maybe christen the house by having really loud sex .. ok fair enough they are having fun .and then again just now full on screaming and crying ( her ,you get the idea ) he’s obviously slapping her ass as you can hear everything as the windows are open and so
are all the neighbour’s .. tbh I feel pissed off I don’t want to hear it .. oh God they’re doing it again .. I can’t not have the windows open am I being a knob ??

We had next door neighbours like this in our old house - the one night after much shouting and panting we heard him exclaim “Jesus Christ Pauline, where did you learn to do that?!”

😂 😂 😂

Why is it always the case on Mumsnet that every poster bristles and recoils at the notion of noisy sex , and strongly advises people to retaliate with petty loud music etc..

But we never see this same energy when it comes to other noisy neighbour disputes?

Is there something about this particular sound which sets off righteous rage here?

I mean @Lala721 you really broke down in detail the crying and slapping etc… as if the type of noisy sex they were having was offensive

What is it with Mumsnet? So many prudes, so little time.

It’s just rude that’s why inconsiderate and rank who wants to listen to some twat screaming her head off like she a in Debbie does Dallas remake

This has made me snigger as my very straight-laced boss has a wife called Pauline. I'll never look at either of them in the same light again! 🤣

BeMintFatball · 18/06/2025 08:47

😂 😂 😂

I'd have to knock on the door and demand to know what Pauline's answer was.

feelingbleh · 18/06/2025 09:33

Just loudly laugh and say that didn't last long as hopefully it will embarrass them as people like this know full well they can be heard and they get off on it.

Dotjones · 18/06/2025 09:49

Having recently experienced a loud sex neighbour for the first time in many years I agree there's something different about sex noise as opposed to other noise. I think it's to do with the fact sex feels like something intimate whereas playing music loud is just annoying. Inflicting your sex noise on your neighbours is akin to flashing, it's a way of getting sexual satisfaction, the pleasure comes from knowing the impact it has on the third party who is exposed to it.

Thank you, that line is MN comedy gold 😂

Love it almost as much as Suzy Quatro’s fat nan.

You honestly think your kids are never going to hear you at it and realise what you're doing? Unless of course you use a ball gag...

Nope mine have never heard me have sex👍🏼

Of course I don’t want my kids to hear me at it. Anyone wanting their kids to hear them having sex should probably be on some sort of register.

You have sex knowing your children can hear you and think that’s ok? Fucking grim.

Deliberately exposing children to sexual behaviour is classed as child sex abuse. If they can see or hear you having sex and you’re making no efforts to shield them from it, you’re sexually abusing them.

heroinechic · 18/06/2025 10:42

When you see her in the street discreetly ask if she is safe at home as you’ve heard what sounds slapping sounds and screaming/crying

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 18/06/2025 10:49

Put a (polite) note through the door pointing out that they could be heard, if it bothers you that much. Or an anonymous post on your local Facebook group (if they are on there), you don't need to mention the sex specifically but just that the warm weather means that any inside noises can be heard very clearly outside...

Though I agree there would need to be more than one or two episodes for me to do something.

They know

They definitely know and get a kick out of knowing people can hear them.

Doncarlos · 18/06/2025 11:16

Our houses all have balconies and a couple of months ago the people next door but one were moving out. I'd never really heard anything from them until the morning they were moving out. I was woken up in the early hours to the sound of them having very loud sex on the balcony.

It's very odd hearing that so in your face. And the rest of the street was deathly silent so everyone with windows open must have heard it.

As it was their last day they'd obviously just taken the chance for a bit of alfresco fun so I just covered my ears and waited for it to end 😂

Oddsocksanduglyshoes · 18/06/2025 11:18

When we had that from next doors hot tub we put our speaker on the window ledge and played let’s get it on at full volume….,

Because there's no need to act like you're in a porno. Or they can close the windows like normal people

SafeToUse · 18/06/2025 11:58

How about blasting some classical music, something to help them with pacing and rhythm? I suggest Flight of the Bumble Bees, see if they can keep up with that!
