Men pissing on toilet seat, why?

BrickHare · 15/06/2025 23:16

Just why? Why can’t they wipe it up? We have a communal toilet at work which everyone uses, however piss is always on the seat after a male has been. I know this because there’s only one toilet in the staffroom and everyone can see who uses it. This never happens after a woman has used the loo. It’s disgusting that other people are having to clean it up. Suggestions at what to do?

It’s like dogs pissing up a lamppost - it’s a power thing. They like other people to see it

Nevertrustacop · 15/06/2025 23:29

I guess they don't wipe it up because they are never going to have to sit in it.

RentalWoesNotFun · 15/06/2025 23:29

It’s absolutely vile that some men think it’s ok to shake the drips off their dick. Those drops could go anywhere. Use some toilet roll ffs.

hardtocare · 15/06/2025 23:30

It’s revolting. Cba to lift the seat or clear up after themselves

hellohellooo · 15/06/2025 23:33

I had a male relative stay for two weeks

When I tell you the toliet and the surrounds was covered in his piss

No lie

I ended up being so angry every time he did it I left spray and wipes on the seat and it still made no difference

Just vile

One morning I stood on his pee it was literally EVERYWHERE ON THE FLOOR aghhhhhhhj

rwalker · 15/06/2025 23:34

Always leave the seat up

TranceNation · 15/06/2025 23:35

Yeah mixed sex toilets are not ideal but let's be honest more often than not in the ladies the toilet lid is left up so everything is getting covered in germs anyway when the toilet is flushed.

Fucking grim. I don’t know what else to do as we’ve talked to management yet it’s still happening. There’s also snots flicked on the wall… sorry TMI. But 🤢

Surely they will if they have a 💩?

Yep there's one area of the offices which has mixed sex toilets. Seats left up and piss on the floor constantly. It is absolutely disgusting. Men are pigs

Urgh god. I mean as a woman I don’t get my period everywhere, maybe that is the answer? Fight fire with fire? Or just leave it and squat?

So men can’t use their arms to wipe?

My point is flushing the toilet without the lid down is just as grim a habit as peeing on the seat/floor.

ninjahamster · 16/06/2025 00:00

I find thus so strange. I have a husband, 2 now adult sons. At no point have they ever pissed on the toilet seat. Nor did my dad, my brothers. My sons over the years had friends visit, as did my daughters. I never had to clean piss up. I don’t know who these people are!

I would say there’s a huge difference to flushing a toilet without the lid down and pissing on the seat. When I’ve flushed without a lid due to there not being one I don’t get toilet water on the seat. Are you a man btw?

Strange because the people you knew had manners? It still happens even if you haven’t experienced this.

My DH used to have a close friend as a teenager/early 20's that did this every time he went. My DH genuinely believed he wasn't quite right in the head, he was so bemused by it. Friend is quite high up in the police nowadays.

HeyWiggle · 16/06/2025 01:15

Mixed loos are vile, smelly, sticky floors, piss over the seat, shitty skid marks, just awful. Thankfully the women's loos usually have dry seats and floor, no skid marks. Very rarely I find a blocked loo which might be due to flushing issues?

Yeah, I would’ve told him where to go. Don’t ever put up with that when some piece of crap is staying at your home. I really don’t know what I would’ve done but he wouldn’t be happy. Disgusting

Mumtobabyhavoc · 16/06/2025 02:19

"Oi, mate, this ain't the men's down the pub!"
😁

mathanxiety · 16/06/2025 03:32

You should complain until this issue is fixed. It's a disgusting thing to do.

Sleeplessnightssleepydays · 16/06/2025 10:35

If you can see who uses the toilet is it one member of the male staff who is doing this or is it multiple men?

If you have complained to management and the issue is still continuing then it sounds as though this is deliberate. Especially given you say there is snot on the walls because there is no accidental explanation for that.

When you complaining to management is it a male manager you are complaining to?

Do you have an HR department?

Because this should be a health and safety issue and you need to step up with co.plaints to HR and management until it is dealt with. And point them in the direction of who exactly is behaving in such an anti social and disgusting manner.

Did you tell him to get his arse back in and clean it up?

I do with my son and husband, and tell them they are gross for doing it and thinking they can just leave it.

Jevarakh · 16/06/2025 10:49

Man here 😀

I always sit. The old chap is far too unreliable. If standing, it can go in ANY direction and you (or at least I) don't have any control once it starts!

Gets worse with age.

Stand-up urinals are OK, but on a chodbin fellas, ALWAYS sit.

TomatoSandwiches · 16/06/2025 10:51

My eldest went through a phase of "forgetting" to flush or wipe his pee droplets especially at night so he had a few weeks of me waking him up at random times of the night to clean it up, when it because inconvenient for him to "forget" he suddenly stopped doing it.
