SquashedMallow · 05/06/2025 22:45

Please don't... It was mainly used passive aggressively

Wolfpinkola · 05/06/2025 22:45

How do you know how an anonymous reaction is being used?

MolluscMonday · 05/06/2025 22:46

I can’t believe they got rid of it, utterly ridiculous.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 05/06/2025 22:46

Yes please

grizzlyoldbear · 05/06/2025 22:46

Someone must have complained

I agree.

PersephoneSmith · 05/06/2025 22:47

Apparently it was used to mock people having a hard time.
I think we can assume that if people were upset about it, and reported it, it’s probably true.

Pawse · 05/06/2025 22:49

I never use the emojis but agree with it being gone. Too many keyboard warriors anonymously hitting the laugh emoji to be mean.

Not that hard to reply to a funny post with a laugh emoji instead.

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 05/06/2025 22:51

🤣

socialdilemmawhattodo · 05/06/2025 22:51

Please. There are so many funny posts on here. And people do complain about anything now.

I liked the laugh emoji! I used it to let people know I appreciated their humour!

Or even with the reaction love heart if its too much to quote the post and use a laugh emoji

Abitofalark · 05/06/2025 22:59

I didn't know it had gone until I went to use the laugh one yesterday for a funny post that was a play on words about Dickens, the novelist.
Don't see the sense in removing it. I often see posts that strike me as witty, sharp or amusing in some way and want to register that without fuss. It's a quick and easy way to do it without intruding upon a thread.

Dangermoo · 05/06/2025 22:59

Yes!

grizzlyoldbear · 05/06/2025 23:00

It's simply showing appreciation for humour. If anything, using the quote to be passive aggressive feels more public and shaming than just a private reaction

Oh lord who cares if someone used it to be mean that's on them mnhq please bring laughter backs

But you have to keep quoting post for that, then adding your own emoji. It's a lot less fun 😅

I saw a thread about it, can’t find it now. People complaining about passive aggression something or other.

That just extends threads unnecessarily. I might have enjoyed the post, but not everyone will.
