I was evicted from a WhatsApp group with grown women!

I feel like a bloody child. Big group of women, 15 of us. Met online but had met a few of the women IRL. Can’t think of anything I’ve done to offend anyone. We chatted every day then out of the blue, three of us just got chucked out. No conversation, no explanation. I really valued their friendship too.

OP posts:
HappyLols · 31/05/2025 20:01

Have you asked the group leader why?

RedRobyn24 · 31/05/2025 20:02

Can you message the person who admins the group directly and ask them what happened?

pengwing · 31/05/2025 20:03

Did you advertise some sort of MLM?

Mulledjuice · 31/05/2025 20:03

Sometimes WhatsApp updates can do funny things. I would definitely ask why!

ThreePointOneFourOneFiveNine · 31/05/2025 20:04

My first guess would be that one person has been spreading lies. I’ve seen it before. I don’t know what these people get out of it, but they turn friends against each other.

Tagyoureit · 31/05/2025 20:05

How do you know it was just 3 of you chucked out?

LivingDeadGirlUK · 31/05/2025 20:06

Have you asked why?

Springtime43 · 31/05/2025 20:08

We don’t have the answers OP, but other members of the group will!

Koazy · 31/05/2025 20:09

Ask one of them

BallerinaRadio · 31/05/2025 20:11

Use your words and ask them?

KrisAkabusi · 31/05/2025 20:15

Why are you asking us instead of someone in the group?

Caterpillarmama · 31/05/2025 20:18

Ask.

and set up your own WhatsApp group. Invite anyone from the other group you want to be in yours.

If you genuinely haven’t done or said anything to upset them, then ask. What if they’re thinking you’ve just exited?

smellyhouseelf · 31/05/2025 20:30

My daughter was accused of removing people from a group on WhatsApp. Her phone was switched off in my room when it happened and she was away at her grandparents. We never figured out how it happened but it caused a drama at the time.

ButteredRadish · 31/05/2025 20:31

What are you expecting us to say, op? We don’t know why

Tophoncho · 31/05/2025 20:37

There are known issues with WhatsApp groups. But best to ask the group admin

JemimaPiddlepot · 31/05/2025 20:39

Ask why.

Use your words and ask them?

Do you feel superior being so nasty and condescending to a stranger on the internet?

2B2G · 31/05/2025 20:44

This is why I made the decision to not have any friends at all years ago. Cannot be bothered with literally any kind of drama and childishness. I just like to chill lol

SteakBakesAndHotTakes · 31/05/2025 20:53

My whatsapp randomly updated the other day. Sometimes it can glitch. Message the group admin and check?

Londonrach1 · 31/05/2025 20:55

Whatsapp can do this randomly...message the admin and ask but it might be an issue with WhatsApp

Friends can be great though, they're your family of choice! If any let you down you just back off.

@THEP0PE ask someone from the group.

Ellie1015 · 31/05/2025 21:03

If no issues I would expect you have been removed by accident or some sort of technical issue. Get in touch with someone.

GauntJudy · 31/05/2025 21:06

It's probably an accident if there's been no obvious drama before the booting off. Definitely ask someone
