To want to know why Imogen Poots broke up with James Norton

Obviously absolutely none of my business, but I don’t think anyone in my real life knows who these people are, so I’m sharing it here in case anyone shares my mini obsession.

Imogen Poots is a gorgeous 35 year old British actress who was engaged to James Norton (I’m guessing I don’t need to explain here who he is), they broke up in the last year or so and he’s indicated in interviews that it wasn’t his choice.

She’s suggested in past interviews that she wants children (which JN has also said he does). Definitely none of my business - but honestly if you were a 35 year old woman who wants kids and you were engaged to JAMES NORTON, would you break up with him?

I once read that Norton is insufferably pretentious. But with a name like Imogen Poots, that may be a moot (poot?) point.

He was excellent. Honestly I feel for male actors, knowing if they go naked they will be judged on that. I think in the same way that Nicola Coughlan got praised for going naked on Bridgerton despite not having the ‘traditional’ actor body, there’s probably something to be said for blokes letting other blokes know that it’s ok to be ok in yourself even if you’re not what society deems ‘perfect’. I actually think more of him for that, because he doubtless knew he’s got a sex symbol fan base and would be judged on that. I think he put more value on being real.

What I found interesting is my first thought was ‘she’s too old for him surely’ but they’re nearly the same age. Except in life experience terms she’s got secondary aged kids hasn’t she?

@ThatNimblePeer. I had a seat on the stage for A Little Life so saw both up close. Luke Thompson works out more than James Norton by the looks of them. JN gave me (just me) a most amazing smile as he left the stage at the end. He didn't ask for my number though - shame.

Me too! but Luke T was closer to me so I was too shy to look at him in case he noticed. Any, er, impressions? I agree he is seriously ripped (as well as a fantastic actor, they both were).
